Jidenna’s friend and close collaborator, has also come forward about being involved in non-traditional relationships. In 2018, she announced that she was pansexual which, according to Rolling Stone, means you are attracted to all genders -including cisgender, non-binary, etc.
Speaking to Vogue about her revelation on her interest in being in poly relationships she said, “I never was the girlfriend that would be jealous. Looking back, I’m like – clearly!”
Last year, she came out with a song called “Only Have Eyes 42″ on her album Age of Pleasure. The single was a nod to a polyamorous-esque relationship. After singing “I only have eyes for two” in the chorus, she comes in the second verse singing:
“Remember we sipped from the same glass
Then she bit your neck and I liked that
We said some things we can’t take back
I’m happy it’s out in the open.”
The song even ended up on former President Barack Obama’s 2023 summer playlist.
