Since its inception in October 2023 by CEO James DuBose, In The Black Network TV (“ITBN”) has aimed to become the leading platform for Black creators and diverse audiences. Its goal is to create a destination that highlights stories in a celebration of authenticity and unity.

The new network provides access to a diverse range of curated original series and films, spanning drama, thriller, family, docuseries, horror, romance, and sports. In addition, ITBN features news and talk shows focused on the cultural landscape, interviews with impactful figures, and current events. The streaming service’s exclusive entertainment includes music from different genres, live channels, and live events showcasing Black talent, not just for people of color but all who appreciate Black culture.

During Black Business Month, MadameNoire spoke to the Chief Operating Officer Samantha Johnstone about her role at ITBN, and she exclaimed, “I love working at In The Black Network TV because it lets me merge my skills in media and advertising with my dedication to uplifting Black voices and stories.” She continued, “I have the chance to create a platform that entertains and empowers our community. “In five years, I envision In The Black Network TV as a dominant force in the streaming industry, recognized not just as a platform for Black entertainment but as a global cultural powerhouse,” added Johnstone. “Under my leadership, I aim to expand our subscriber base exponentially, making ITBN a household name across diverse audiences worldwide [that is] well-known for our groundbreaking original content, strategic partnerships with top Black talent, and innovative technology that enhances the viewer experience.”

ITBN is committed to making a significant impact and plans to be a dominant force in the media industry for African American content.  The brand already delivers highly engaging content with over 100 shows and counting. The network plans to expand its content selection and distribution channels through strategic partnerships with fast channels, leveraging advanced technologies to enhance viewer experiences.
