(Washington Post) — Cyclists can sign up for the region’s new bike-sharing network, Capital Bikeshare, which is scheduled to debut next month.

One thousand bicycles will be available at 100 locations in the District and Arlington County for use by registered members. The program is offering a 50 percent discount off the $50 annual membership fee. According to the District Transportation Department, monthly memberships are available for $25, and daily memberships will be available at the bike stations for $5. Locations, which are being finalized, can be previewed at http://capitalbikeshare.com/station_map.
