“City To City, T!tty To T!tty” Snoop Reminisces About His Life As A Pimp

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Snoop explains that in 2003, he fulfilled one of his childhood fantasies and became a pimp. And not for one of his videos, the rapper was a real life pimp.

“I did a Playboy tour, and I had a bus follow me with ten bishes on it. I could fire a bish, f**k a bish, get a new ho: It was my program. City to city, t!tty to t!tty, hotel room to hotel room, athlete to athlete, entertainer to entertainer.”

Despite the crass nature of this interview, Snoop refused to name the names of his clients. He did say though that several NBA players utilized his services.

The recently converted Rastafarian says that the only difference between he and other pimps was that he let his women keep the money they made.

“I’d act like I’d take the money from the bish, but I’d let her have it. It was never about the money; it was about the fascination of being a pimp . . . As a kid I dreamed of being a pimp, I dreamed of having cars and clothes and bishes to match. I said, ‘F**k it – I’m finna do it.’”

You may remember that Snoop was married in 2003, just like he is today. His wife, Shante Broadus knew all about his little side business.

“My wife had to take a backseat to this sh!t And I love her to this day because she coulda shook out on a ni**a, but she stayed in my corner. So when I decided to let it go, she was still there.”

Ironically, Snoop was the one who filed for divorce from his wife in 2004, citing irreconcilable differences. But two years ago, in an interview with Bossip, Shante said she and Snoop decided to make it work for the sake of their children and their family.
Whoa. All of this is a whole lot to stomach. I really resent the fact that he spoke so nonchalantly about pimping women when he was raising a young daughter. But I can’t say it’s really all that surprising considering Snoop has hinted, joked, imitated and glorified the pimp lifestyle in his music for decades now.

What’s so problematic about this interview is that his characterization of the lifestyle doesn’t do anything to highlight the physical abuse and emotional baggage that women, men and families endure because of it. It also doesn’t tell the truth that most women enter the sex industry as children or very, young teenagers. The article failed to mention when, why and how Snoop was able to give up the “business” and get back to his family.

Pretty disgusting.

Can You Guess Whose Cute “Kid” This Is?

Awww! The babies grow up so fast, and this young man definitely is growing up nicely! With his famous father in the spotlight, we had the chance to meet him as a little kid when his family decided to participate in a cable reality television show. The son of high school sweethearts who married and started a family, his pops is a pretty iconic rapper and actor, and a force in the West Coast Hip-Hop scene, whose career started back in ’92 when he was discovered by Dr. Dre. He’s also done a lot of TV and movies, including hosting his own shows and having roles in movies like Baby Boy, Training Day, The Wash and (the forgettable) Soul Plane. When he’s not reinventing his image or performing all over, this child’s father is also a youth football league coach, which is probably where this young man gained his interest in the sport. So whose cute “kid” (aka, teenager) is this?

Cute Kid Alert: Lil Lebron Turns 8, And Brandy And Sy’rai Have Mommy-Daughter Time

Cheese! With big papa Snoop missing from this cute family photo, Corde, momma Shante, Cordell, and little Miss Cori put on their Kool-Aid smiles for an exclusive Broadus pic. Everyone looks cute, even though it would have been nice if Corde would have at least thrown on a shirt, but hey, whatever works!

Twitter

Speaking of family photos, our girl Brandy, aka, B-Rocka, 33, took a very cute photo with her 10-year-old daughter, Sy’rai Smith. Taking from her mom’s fashion sense, Sy’rai rocked braids, including some adorable pink and white extensions we’re digging.

Twitter – Christina Milian

It’s fall, ya’ll! So with that, everybody is hitting the pumpkin patches and trying out the hay rides again, including Christina Milian and her little lady, Violet. The cutie patootie in her colorful floral dress and braided coily curls posed on top of a pumpkin and cheesed it up for the camera. Milian captioned the photo, “A pumpkin for my little pumpkin!”

And who needs models when you can get your kids to be in your ads? Diddy got his son Christian, his other “son” Quincy (Kim Porter and Al B Sure’s son), and model Tyson Beckford’s son, Jordan Beckford, to pose for the new fall Sean John ad. Aren’t they fresh?

And guess who just turned 8? The son of Lebron James, Lebron James Jr! Savannah Brinson posted this picture via Instagram of her son over the years. As she said in the caption, “Happy 8th Bday Jr! Wow time is flying by.” Doesn’t it always?

And here’s an up-to-date photo of “Jr.” hanging out at dinner with his family. Sounds like dad is proud: “Happy Bday again to my 8 year old young man Bronny. Love u son!!”

Adorable-ness all around!

Cute Kid Alert: Chris Bosh Says He’s a Good Dad, Stevie J & Mimi’s Daughter and More!

Another day, more cute kids to showcase! With the help of Black Celeb Kids, we’ve compiled photos of some cuties and their celeb parents.

Let’s get started with Chris Bosh! Despite what his ex and baby mother Allison Mathis says, Bosh wants folks to know that his kids are his number one priority and that he’s a good dad. While making his media rounds last week, the newly minted NBA champion shared his excitement over his new son, Jackson, and raising his little girl, Trinity (3). On “Live! With Kelly,” according to BCK, he said the following about baby Jackson showing up at the championship game and his daughter’s first championship parade:

“He was absolutely a good-luck charm. That was actually his first game. I knew I had to do something special because he was in the building. My daughter got to be in the parade. [She and Jackson] were both there, so it was great.”

Ca-ute!

And speaking of cute, Snoop was seen recently with his sons Corde and Cordell. Mr. Cordell, on the right, is the 15-year-old football star who has had UCLA knocking on Snoop’s door. The young men and their famous pop all came together for the preview of Mac & Devin Go To High School, a comedy starring Snoop and Wiz Khalifa. Corde and Cordell definitely take after their dad, but I see momma Shante all over their faces too! Cute indeed.
You hear Mimi Faust and Stevie J talk about his little girl often on “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta,” but rarely is their daughter seen. Well, this is her! Eva, who looks a lot like her daddy, is seen here taking a dip in the pool. Can we talk about how adorable the flotation device she has on is? Hopefully Stevie will get his act and life together for the sake of his lady and this adorable little girl…but I doubt it. But she’s adorable, right?
And I’ve probably been asleep under a rock, but I never knew that Teena Marie had a young daughter! The young lady above is her 21-year-old daughter, Alia Rose. And guess who that is all hugged up with her? Rick James’s son Taz (aka, Tazman)! He is the son (about 19 years old) that James had with ex-wife Tanya Hijazi. The two attended the BET Awards on Sunday looking very dapper and darling. I see the resemblances to their parentals…how about you?

Hip Hop is hard on marriage.  Any fame is.  But what can be helpful to any union, prominent or otherwise, is meaningful work.  Engaging in your own thing is a good mental health move and helps take the pressure off of a relationship.  The Atlanta Post has rounded up six women who’ve seen beyond the current spoils of marriage to build something of their very own.

They say a good marriage is fifty-fifty.  But if you’ve ever observed one up close, you know that somebody usually runs the show.  In the Snoop Dogg-Shante Broadus variety that person is Shante, aka Boss Lady.  Outside of the home she’s in control as well: she runs Boss Lady Entertainment and Management, where she oversees a range of talent; The Lady Lounge, a dance and recording studio; and CoCoRi, a clothing line.  As if that was not enough she also manages  I Am S.H.A.N.T.E, a foundation to empower girls.
