It looks like popular DJ Mister Cee aka Calvin LeBrun is in need of a “fixer” or at the very least, a really talented publicist. Over the weekend we reported that the Hot 97 on-air personality was arrested for allegedly soliciting a male prostitute.
This morning LeBrun joined his Hot 97 cohorts during the Cipha Sounds & Rosenburg Morning Show with K.Foxx to discuss the scandal. During his interview, the radio jockey came clean about his struggles with prostitution, but maintains that he is a heterosexual male and even suggested that NYPD lied about the sex of the prostitute that he was caught with.
“Thursday night/Friday morning, I was approached by a female, Latino undercover cop. Not a male cop. The female Latino cop, I have her badge number so I know who it is….The first story that came out in the Daily News said it was a female undercover officer and you can research and see that that story was posted. Then they changed it soon after to male undercover officer. I have no idea why it changed.”
He then proceed to defend his sexuality.
“No, I am not gay. I have not engaged in homosexual activity. Out of the three incidents that happened in the past with me, there was only one person’s name brought up that was a male.”
The legendary DJ also addressed whether or not he’s addicted to prostitutes.
“Yes, I do like prostitutes. I have engaged a lot with prostitutes in my life many times. Same with strippers. I’ve tricked on them many times. But I happened to be in the area on Thursday. It was a beautiful day for me. Everything that had happened around this time in 2011, I didn’t feel like my Hot 97 fam had my back. There were people telling me I shouldn’t be on that Summer Jam stage. But on Thursday, I was in a great mood. So it just so happened I was in that area after leaving a party. I didn’t know that corner is where prostitutes hung out.”
“It’s because of what I’ve been going thru the last 10-12 years of my life. Back in 2001, I was in a serious committed relationship (a girlfriend) with a young lady and I’m not going to say her name. About that time, my life started to change into wanting hit it & quit it type relationships. I was going into strip clubs and things. Then I wanted to get prostitutes. I got in a rut. The more I started getting into that activity, the more I wanted it versus the traditional way of getting to know regular women.”
“I found myself not trusting women as much. I found myself not wanting women to get closer to me in my world. I started seeing how my friends were getting jammed up in their marriages and relationship and I said that’s not going to be me. If I get to a point where me and a woman get too close, I push her away. I have trust issues with women.”

Wait…What? Legendary DJ Mister Cee Arrested For Soliciting A Male Prostitute!
Well, this isn’t good.
Popular New York City DJ Mister Cee was arrested on Thursday night after he was allegedly caught trying to solicit a male prostitute, according to the NY Daily News. Unfortunately for Cee, the “prostitute” was actually an undercover cop.
Cee, known for his “Throwback at Noon” and “Friday Night Live” shows on Hot 97 as well as his legendary connections with Notorious B.I.G and Big Daddy Kane, allegedly approached the man on Broadway and Madison Street in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. As the news started to spread of his arrest, residents of the area tweeted that the section is known for its “women and men of the night.”
This isn’t the first time Mister Cee, real name Calvin Lebrun, was arrested for lewd acts. In 2011, he was arrested for receiving oral sex from a man in a parked car. He plead guilty to loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.
An unfortunate situation indeed.
Ebro Darden, Program Director for Hot, took to Twitter on Saturday to seriously address the issue as well as well as drop a little joke in the midst:
Clearly, the Hot 97 family stands by Mister Cee during what is clearly a troubling time. Mister Cee has been on Instagram most of the weekend responding to fans who’ve been fairly positive in their comments and show of support.
On Monday morning, around 7:45 am, Cee will join the Hot 97 morning show (Black, Puerto Rican & Jew) for a conversation about what happened. Well, as much as he can share. It should be interesting.
Hopefully, Mister Cee’s June court appearance will settle the legal issue and he can move forward and deal with any emotional issues, if any, he has going on.
You Can Always Say “No Comment”: Ciara Speaks To Hot 97 About Her Ongoing Issues With Rihanna (Again) And Why Beyoncé’s A Beast
I can’t imagine being a celebrity, doing an interview and constantly being asked about somebody else. Kelly Rowland has done a pretty good job at keeping the smiles going and keeping it positive while people spend half of her interviews asking about Beyoncé or Blue Ivy, but for Ciara, people want to know about her drama. And she seems to have no problem answering any and all questions about it, when it might be best not to.
Sitting down with Cipha Sounds, K. Foxx, Rosenberg, and Ebro at Hot 97, we assume to do promo for her album Ciara being released this summer, the singer opened up about everything from why she’s being so public with her relationship with Future, to what the deal is with her beef with Rihanna, and why she loves her some Beyoncé.
When asked why she is being so forward in public with her feelings about rapper Future (the couple already has tattoos for each other), especially after claiming to be private about her love life (but what about Bow Wow and 50 Cent??), she said it’s because she’s ready to:
“I felt comfortable in this situation. I feel like you have to be comfortable because when you do step outside, you put yourself in a situation for everyone to have an opinion.”
As for what the deal is with going back and forth with Rihanna:
“I don’t have no beef…it is what it is. I don’t know what she’s on. Whatever she’s on, she can have it. I’m so cool, I’m so in my zone right now. It’s not that many of us doing what we do. It shouldn’t be anything but love. I feel like all of us and what we do is different anyway, so I couldn’t understand what the need to create drama would be, but I wish her well.”
And why despite the drama she’s had with some R&B divas in the past, she rides with Beyoncé:
“I think everybody can coexist. I have a lot of respect for Beyoncé. I think she’s just an amazing performer. She’s a beast. She’s worked hard to be where she is right now and she deserves all the respect.”

When the DJ that’s interviewing you calls you a “professional side piece,” it’s obvious that nothing you say will be taken seriously. Maybe that’s what “Love & Hip Hop NYC” cast member, Raqi Thunder thought when she sat down with Hot97 to discuss the latest season of Vh1′s cash cow. Raqi was being reckless with her tongue as she provided the hosts with insider information about Joe Budden’s bedsheets, his drug problem and her being the reason he’s even on the show.
Calling herself the “Hip-hop confidant,” Raqi lets is be known that she knows the ins and outs of the industry and has no problem calling anyone out, including the host, Ebro. Raqi goes on to tease about a rapper who wears a diaper, Joe Budden’s p*nis photos and even calls him her “gay bestie.”

What Chu Say Boo: Caption This Picture Of Nicki Minaj…And Friends

In spirit of all that the Christmas season entails, Nicki Minaj and the folks over at Hot 97 decided to bury the hatchet. You may remember that they had a huge falling out this past summer after Pete Rosenberg, one of their DJs, dissed Nicki’s song “Starships,” an hour before she was set to take the stage. Needless to say this didn’t sit well with Young Money; and the singer, following the direction of Lil Wayne, canceled her show.
But Hot 97 and Nicki seemed to have let bygones be bygones as Nicki performed at an event Hot 97 hosted at Webster Hall yesterday.
Though Nicki kept it kind of conservative color-wise, she still let it all hang out in other areas. If you know what I mean. (And I think you do.)

Big Sean Dishes On How He Snagged His Girlfriend: ‘I Said You Got To Stop Playing And Hop On This’

Who doesn’t love a one-woman-man rapper story? This morning, Big Sean showed Hot 97′s Angie Martinez he’s different from the rest in more ways than one when he went against the different-woman-every-night rapper grain and gushed over his love for his girlfriend.
He told the host:
“I got somebody special. I ain’t just out here ratchet running through all of these little h*es after the shows. I got something special.”
So who is this someone special? Let him tell you:
“The girl that I’m real serious with is the girl I had a crush on since I was 15. So now I got her — eventually. I always tried to get at her and she had a boyfriend. I had a girlfriend too, but I was running wild back then. One day, I said ‘You got to stop playing and hop on this. What’s up?!’ I said that in so many words. So she was like ‘Man you are crazy,’ so I took her out everyday for like a week.”
Awww. I bet it didn’t take much for his girlfriend to hop on swag like that. Though the two have been caught in a few candids out and about, it’s going to be a little minute before we see them on the red carpet together. Big Sean told Angie:
“I would take her to the Grammy’s but I am going to take my mom first. She’s the reason why I am here.”
A rapper who loves his mama and his woman? I didn’t think they made ‘em like that anymore.
Aww Shiznyee: JR Smith Goes On Record To Say K. Michelle Is Not His Girl And He’s Single
Well I think it’s safe to say K. Michelle will have some love mixed in with her hip-hop on the next season of LHHATL because her love life is turning into a major e-saga.
At the beginning of the month, K. was lamenting to Hot 97 how she ruined her relationship with NY Knicks player JR Smith and that she regretted messing things up and was going to do whatever she could to get him back. Last week, it looked like she’d succeeded when several pics like the one above popped up with her an JR getting nice and cozy at a party and even sharing some pecks right in the middle of the dance floor — or VIP. One would have assumed that meant things were back on between the two, but JR insists that is hardly the case.
Last night, one of JR’s fans tweeted him something about K. Michelle having her man now, meaning him, and he took that opportunity to let the world know that he belongs to no woman.
If I was K. that would sting just a little. Just because they kissed in the club obviously doesn’t have to mean they’re in a relationship, but I also wouldn’t want someone I was fooling around with to go out of his way to let people know I’m not his girl. What’s up with that? As far as the tweets are concerned, though, K. Michelle doesn’t seem to be tripping. She came back with this response:
That might be a good front but if she wants that man as bad as she claimed on Hot 97, there’s no way she isn’t at least slightly bothered by what he said. Plus, if you watched the Dirty Little Secrets special Sunday night, she also mentioned that there was a man she was trying hard to get with, which I can’t imagine being anyone other than JR. Let’s just hope our girl doesn’t get her feelings hurt in this cat and mouse chase.
