We were shocked to learn nearly two years ago that Hollywood heart-throb Michael Ealy is a married man. After news of the actor’s marital status broke, fans were naturally intrigued and wanted to know more about the mystery woman whom Michael dated for a total of four years before marrying her. Michael, however, opted to take the Kerry Washington route by keeping the details of his personal life under wraps. Well, until now that is. During a recent chat with “Think Like A Man Too” co-star Wendy Williams, the 40-year-old actor opened up just a bit about his wife, fatherhood and why he prefers to keep his personal life private.

“It’s not really that hard,” Michael said about keeping his business under the radar. “I don’t live my life in that way. I don’t live my life in a social way. I don’t put everything out on social media. I don’t live that reality lifestyle. At the same time, I’ve always been private, ever since I was in high school. Like, people think, ‘Oh, you’re in Hollywood, you like to…’ I’m like, ‘No, no.’ If you knew me in high school, you knew. I learned then, if you want something to work, if it means that much to you, keep it to yourself.”

Despite his theory about keeping things on the hush, Michael did open up briefly about his wife of two years, who’s from Afghanistan and his son. He previously declined to comment on whether or not last Sunday was his first Father’s Day as a dad, but after a little probing he bashfully confessed to Wendy that it was.

“It was awesome,” the blue-eyed actor admitted. “I had just gotten back in town from the road and my wife went to go get her hair done or something like that because we had date night that night, so it was just me and him. We went and ran some errands and took him to CVS and got him some swim diapers and stuff.”

Michael, who was in rare form, also revealed his son’s name.

“His name is Elijah Rakim.”

Sweet!
