Jussie Smollett has shared a clip of new single via Instagram where he is addressing the hate crime scandal that has plagued his career for three years. 

Celebrities are now speaking out against former Empire star Jussie Smollett's hefty prison sentence ruling. 

Jussie's fate came at the hands of Cook County Circuit Judge James on March 11.

Three years after committing a hate crime hoax, Jussie Smollett was sentenced to 150 days in prison. Smollett, who was convicted of  five counts of felony disorderly conduct in December 2021, allegedly believes he received the sentence not because he is guilty but because he is Black.

Smollett additionally serve 30 months of probation and was ordered to pay $130,160 in restitution and the maximum fine applicable for his case, $25,000.

Jussie Smollett was found guilty of four counts of felony disorderly conduct for lying to the police with false police reports.

On Tuesday the former "Empire" actor was indicted on six counts including disorderly conduct.
