Diana Ross

When a famous grandmother makes the celebrity pregnancy rumors list, things have officially gotten out of hand. For everyone else on this list, revealing that they weren’t pregnant was just pretty awkward.

Erykah Badu

When singer Erykah Badu performed at the annual Roots Picnic earlier this year, fans spotted her a bigger belly under her loose top, and soon after, pregnancy rumors were all over Twitter. But Badu took it in stride, responding with the funny tweet above.

Ciara

Russell Wilson and Ciara’s abstinence vow hit an awkward bump in the road when these concert photos made it online.

So Ciara had to call into the Russ Parr Morning Show to confess–she had been snacking too close to showtime:

“You know it’s so funny, I might have had a cheeseburger a little too close to showtime … [My stomach] was not that big, they exaggerated that. There are other photos from that night where you see how it really was. I’m not carrying anything in my belly but good food.”

Jennifer Aniston

When Jennifer Aniston showed up on the red carpet in unforgiving purple fabric, “baby bump” was in every headline the next day.

And poor Jennifer had to follow her red carpet moment with an awkward public proclamation, saying, “No, there’s nothing to be announced. Just a couple of pounds…”

Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner had the perfect response for the constant baby bump rumors that followed her after taking a break from films to have kids.

“I am not pregnant, but I have had three kids and there is a bump! From now on, ladies, I will have a bump. And it will be my baby bump.

And let’s just all settle in and get used to it. It’s not going anywhere. I have a bump, its name is Violet, Sam, Sera.”

Anna Paquin

Someone said something to Anna Paquin after The Good Dinosaur premiere earlier this month that prompted her to tweet this. Paquin hasn’t named the source of the shade, but hopefully they’re somewhere having a seat.

Tia Mowry

Do you think Tia Mowry looks pregnant in this photo from the recent Los Angeles premiere of The Night Before? Mowry was so fed up with the many pregnancy rumors she’s faced this year that she finally took to Instagram to ask everyone who kept questioning if she was to please have a seat and stop body-shaming her.

“Please please please STOP! It’s starting to become rude and a form of body shaming!!! I am NOT pregnant!!! Stop with the nonsense! If you don’t hear it from me it’s not true!! Again one last time! I AM NOT PREGNANT!!”

Tia has since deleted the post, but we understand her frustration all the same.

Chrissy Teigen

Some stars just can’t catch a break. Chrissy Teigen is pregnant with John Legend’s baby. But now the rumor mill has been shading her baby bump by suggesting she’s having twins. Tiegen’s response? “Get out of my uterus.”

“Good thing I am unoffendable or this would be a rough few months. I did IVF. One at a time. It isn’t twins. I can see the damn thing. Get out of my uterus! Please stop. I put one embryo in. I have ultrasounds every few days. I didn’t announce at a week.”

Please and thank you.

Diana Ross

Even 71-year-old grand diva Diana Ross isn’t safe from the pregnancy rumor mill. Her baby bump buzz started after this photo popped up on Instagram. Those rumors were untrue, of course.

Nicki Minaj

When Nicki Minaj called Meek Mill her “baby’s father” on stage at a Pittsburgh concert, things went haywire. Eventually, a rep for the rapper had to contact TMZ to tell them that “baby father” was just a term of endearment and not a pregnancy announcement. But you know Nicki Minaj can’t resist teasing her fans and added a “…yet” at the end of the statement.

Porsha Williams

When celebrity Instagrams go wrong, they go really wrong. Does Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams look pregnant to you in this old Instagram pic? Her followers certainly thought so. Add to that Williams’s previous efforts to get pregnant on the show and you have the recipe for baby rumors. But a friend of the reality star told Radar Online that Williams “had a good laugh about that. The stories are completely untrue.”

Blake Shelton

Sometimes pregnancy rumors are so crazy the alleged baby daddy has to speak up. When Blake Shelton heard rumors that he’d not only knocked up his brand new girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, but also his ex-wife Miranda Lambert, he had to have a Twitter laugh about it. When a person used his Twitter handle to announce that he had been impregnated by Shelton too, the country singer responded with, “Ha!!! You too!!! Damn I’m fertile!!”

Ashley Benson

Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson can’t be too mad at us for suspecting she was pregnant after this tweet. Or for laughing at the real reason behind it.

Cecily Strong

Sometimes the only way to handle a pregnancy rumor is to shut it down quickly.

When dozens of SNL fans shadily tweeted a few “is she pregnant or fat” comments after an episode, Cecily Strong immediately respondedby tweeting, “Oh also, I’m not pregnant. But thanks for inquiring you cruel bully di–heads/the dumbest idiots ever who don’t understand how life works.”

Mariah Carey

Sometimes a new boo is enough to get the rumor mill running. Once Mariah Carey and boyfriend James Packard started stepping out together in public, an Australian tabloid jumped the gun and claimed Carey was pregnant.

But the singer’s rep quickly stepped in to say there was no basis for those rumors. But they are really in love!
