CeeLo Green

If there is anyone who wishes that Twitter had a reset button right about now, it’s probably CeeLo Green. The singer was recently given three years probation for giving a former flame ecstasy without her consent. This same woman accused him of raping her while on the drug, but no charges were filed for that because of a lack of evidence. Once Green got probation, he made the poor choice to hop on social media to give his own definition of rape, and it was all bad. Although his comments were later deleted, the sting of his words are still in the air and costing him endorsement deals and concert slots.

Columbus Short

“Well if that isn’t the pot calling the kettle black!” At least, that’s what we thought after seeing Short’s recent Instagram rant that condemned Ray Rice for domestic abuse. But just a few months back the actor was fired from “Scandal” because he was arrested and was alleged to have put his hands on his wife. Sit down Columbus…

Rihanna

Spending time on social media is certainly one of bad-gyal Rih Rih’s favorite pastimes. Now that her Instagram account is gone, she’s dishing out witty comments and bold pictures by way of Twitter these days. But the songstress caught some serious heat when she commented on the Israel-Gaza conflict by Tweeting #FreePalestine in July of this year. She deleted the Tweet not long after posting it once the backlash came, realizing the move probably wasn’t a good one.

Lindsay Lohan

Remember that time Lindsay Lohan tried to convince us that hurricane “Sally” (as in Sandy) wasn’t that big of a deal and sent out this tweet?

“WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i’m calling it Sally)..? Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace.”

Uh, maybe because people were losing their homes and their lives…?

J. Cole

J. Cole is usually cautious when it comes to his clever wordplay. But when he dropped a line negatively referencing autism (“I’m artistic, you niggas is autistic, retarded“) in the song “Jodeci Freestyle” with Drake, he caught some major heat. The rapper and St. John’s grad issued a letter of apology in which he owned up and sincerely apologized for his lyrics. He later took to social media to  publish the letter and spread awareness about autism:

“I was instantly embarrassed that I would be ignorant enough say something so hurtful. What makes the crime worse is that I should have known better…While rappers apologize too often for causing offense, this apology IS necessary.”

Asher Roth

Unfortunately, Don Imus wasn’t the only person to use the term “nappy headed ho*s.” Back in 2009 artist, Asher Roth found himself in some serious trouble after sending out a Tweet saying, “At Rutgers stirring up a ruckus. Been a day of rest and relaxation, sorry Twitter — hanging out with some nappy headed hoes.” Really?

The rapper would go on to apologize after deleting the Tweet:

“The twitter situation was an immature attempt to poke fun at an infamously moronic joke,” he wrote. “In doing so, I unconsciously stooped to the level of its originator, making it just as bad, if not worse. Pathetic. Lesson learned – nothing good can come from repeating hateful words, regardless of your intentions.”

Tyrese

A slew of philosophical Tweets from Tyrese should never come as a surprise, however, we’re not too sure what he was thinking when he sent out these messages about overweight people.

“If you are fat and nasty and you don’t like the way you look, do something about it. It’s simple. When you take a shower and you put your fat, nasty body in the shower and by the time you get out, the mirrors are all steamed up so you don’t look at what you did to yourself. That may sound offensive or insensitive but ultimately, you are big as hell because you have earned that s**t. You worked your a** off to eat everything in sight to get big as hell. If you got a problem with the way you look, then you need to do something about it.”

Tyrese thought he was being motivational, but most people thought he was being a jerk. The singer and actor would apologize for his “bad choice of wording.”

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian just can’t keep quiet when it comes to social activism, by way of Twitter at least. After the verdict for the George Zimmerman trial was released, Kim tweeted, “My heart goes out to Trayvon Martin’s family & loved ones. Thought & prayers being sent their way. #nojustice.” Seemed innocent enough.

But it took Twitter users no time to remind her about her father’s involvement in what many considered the little justice served during O.J. Simpson’s trial in 1995. Kim, you might want to stick to just saying “prayers up.”

Tito Jackson

We’re still not sure what prompted this Twitter blunder, but we couldn’t compile this list without including the time Japan was hit by a massive tsunami in 2011 and Tito Jackson said this: “JAPAN— CAN YOU FEEL IT!!!!!!!!” Oh, Tito. No. Just, no.

Mike Epps

Even when Mike Epps thinks he’s lending a helping hand, he unintentionally has people laughing. When trying to share some words the ladies, he wrote something damn near incomprehensible:

“Ladys please teach the young girls about highgean and self worth and respect !!thease our future moms!!!”

Although he later Tweeted that his bad spelling was intentional, we’re not sure we believe that…
