In an exciting development for women’s athletics, Cash App has announced a dynamic partnership with WNBA all star Angel Reese. On Oct. 21, the digital wallet service unveiled its collaboration with the Chicago Sky forward, an initiative that will help boost promotion for women’s sports while celebrating Reese’s devoted fanbase and the broader WNBA community.
To kick off the exciting partnership, Cash App hosted a special event on Tuesday, at Fulton Market in Chicago, a press release noted. Fans were invited to experience “The Angel Machine,” an interactive game that offered an array of exciting prizes, including Reese’s iconic crown, her college jersey from Louisiana State University, where she led the Tigers to their first NCAA Championship, sneakers, and more.
Fans have been eagerly tuning in to watch WNBA players this season, with Nielsen reporting an impressive average of 1.2 million viewers across ESPN’s platforms—an incredible 70% increase from last year. The huge surge can be attributed partly to the excitement surrounding Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, who captivated audiences during their college rivalry and are now being cheered on in their journeys with the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever. Reese and Cash App hope that their latest collaboration will not only enhance fan engagement but will also advance Cash App’s commitment to giving back to the community.

Cash App customers have special deals in store under the new partnership.
In addition to the Fulton Market event, the digital wallet service and Reese are offering a special deal for Cash App users. Beginning Oct. 24, Cash App Card customers can personalize their debit cards with limited-edition Angel Reese stamps. Additionally, customers will enjoy 25% off Angel Reese merchandise, up to a maximum discount of $15, when shopping at theangelreese.com using their Cash App Card. The financial app will also sponsor Reese’s new podcast, Unapologetically Angel, and surprise her fans on X with exclusive prizes in the coming months.
In partnership with the Angel C. Reese Foundation, Cash App will renovate a community basketball court in Reese’s hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, culminating in a public celebration at a Cash App Block Party in December. Finally, fans can look forward to upcoming social media content featuring Reese, as well as her starring role in Cash App’s “That’s Money” financial literacy campaign later this year.

The Angel C. Reese Foundation, established by the athlete herself, is dedicated to empowering girls and underserved youth through sports and education. The foundation aims to provide resources, mentorship, and opportunities that inspire young individuals to achieve their goals both on and off the court, fostering a sense of community and growth in her hometown and beyond.
In September 2023, Reese’s foundation hosted the “Back to School Giveback Block Party” in Baton Rouge at McKinley Elementary School. The special event aimed to support local students by providing essential school supplies to the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. Through this initiative, the foundation not only helped prepare students for the upcoming school year but also fostered a sense of community and celebration among families and educators in the area.
