Recently, a tweet went viral in which a woman gushed over the fact that her boyfriend sent her best friend flowers.
“My best friend was cheated on by her boyfriend and my boyfriend bought her flowers to show her that she deserves better than a cheater. He knows if he’s dating me, he’s dating my friends.”
Reactions to the viral tweet were mixed. Some found the gesture to be extremely sweet and mature. Others felt that it was indicative that the woman’s boyfriend had a romantic interest in her friend.
Regardless of what you believe, the discussion raised an interesting question: How can you tell when your man is into your friend? He’s constantly trying to hook her up with one his friends
Some people just like to play matchmaker, but when your man has tried to hook up every last one of his boys up with the same friend, it’s a sign that he’s into her on some level. What he’s not saying is that he believes your girl is a great catch and he would love to have her for himself; however, since he can’t, the next best thing is to put one of his boys on.

He never approves of her partners
Have you noticed that he always has something negative to say about anyone your girl brings around? The reason that he never approves of her partners is that he believes he’s the only person fit for the job.

He shows too much interest in her personal affairs
Some people just enjoy gossip, but when your guy is only asking questions about one friend, in particular, he likely has an ulterior motive and it’s probably not that he wants to hear the latest tea.

He communicates with her on his own
If your boyfriend has started to go out of his way to contact your homegirl on his own, it could be a sign that he’s interested in her romantically. Some couples share friends and it’s no big deal, but if you know that this is atypical for your relationship, you may want to look at your dude more closely.

He stalks her social media accounts

He’s always asking about her
It’s not abnormal to inquire about a partner’s friend if you haven’t heard about them or seen them in a while, but if you’re noticing that he finds a way to mention her in nearly every conversation, it’s a red flag for sure.

He is always suggesting that you invite her over

He’s always hanging around when she’s over
It can be a lot of fun hanging with you man and your girls, but at the end of the day, they’re your friends. Most boyfriends realize this and will fall back, giving you space to have alone time with your girls after a while. However, if it seems that your man won’t take the hint and skedaddle, it’s likely because he doesn’t want to.

He turns into a comedian when she’s around
Have you peeped that your dude suddenly comes to life when your girl comes around and he’s pulling out all of his best material when she’s on the scene? Perhaps he’s even using old jokes he used on you when you guys first started dating. Red flag, sis.
