(Wall Street Journal) — Campaign season wound down Monday with candidates looking to ensure their supporters show up to vote Tuesday in an election that will demonstrate just how far national enthusiasm for Republicans has penetrated Greater New York.  Republican candidates sought to stoke turnout in New York City’s suburbs and Upstate, while most Democrats focused their campaigns on the city. Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Andrew Cuomo, though, started his day with a rally in Buffalo, the hometown of his Republican rival Carl Paladino before heading to Albany. Mr. Paladino held a series of rallies in the Western New York counties where lopsided margins helped propel him to a surprise victory in the GOP primary.
