The singer once told people that she liked to do her own makeup in the hopes of not inconveniencing anyone else.
“Well folks, sorry to say this, but I do my own styling and my own tangled-up hair!” she said. “I never like to inconvenience anyone I don’t have to. I mean, I may not do the best job, but if I can do it, I would just rather it be that way.”
But she recently told Glamour that it was really because, back in the day, she couldn’t afford a big glam squad.
“I did a lot of my own styling and my own hair and makeup early on because I didn’t have money to [pay a team].”
