If you asked me, I would never thought Tamar would debut her real hair, more less cut it all off. But now that she’s done so, I have to admit that I love it. She’s too cute! The cut highlights features of her face that have long been hidden by her wigs. Not to mention the reasoning behind her cut, her attempt to fully embrace herself is powerful. In case you forgot, Tamar wrote:
“Im over feeling captive to a wig, weave, people, people’s comments & opinions hell…even my OWN feelings! WE can choose to stop these things from having the power and victory over us!! And for me, that starts TODAY.”
The whole thing was about her.
But perhaps this man didn’t read Tamar’s caption or her reasoning because he hopped on Twitter to offer what he called a “Public Service Announcement.”
“We don’t like this. Please stop cutting your hair off. Sh*t is not the move. Unless u sicc or some. Please we like women with hair.”
While the internets could have easily chosen to ignore him. They educated him not only on his ignorance but on the fact that women don’t require the approval of men to make decisions for their own bodies, complete with pictures of themselves slaying with varying levels of baldies.
