Earlier this week we reported on Siovaughn Wade’s appearance on Dr. Phil. During the interview she discussed the highly publicized child custody trial between she and her Miami Heats-playing ex-husband , Dwyane Wade. Siovaughn revealed that she strongly believed her ex-husband was granted primary custody of their two sons because he was a celebrity and the judge presiding over the case was a fan. Siovaughn certainly would not be the first woman who shares children with a rich and famous man to make this kind of  claim. Both Pilar Sanders and Tameka Raymond have also hinted that their ex’s celebrity status played roles in custodial disputes. It appears Dwyane’s current girlfriend, actress Gabrielle Union may be calling BS on Siovaughn’s claims. The Think Like a Man actress recently sent out a series of tweets about why people should take responsibility for their own lives, which are believed to have been directed at Siovaughn.

Now the above tweets could’ve very well been about something or someone else, but considering the nature of Siovaughn’s appearance on Dr. Phil, there’s a big chance that they were not.

If in fact Union was referring to Siovaughn, she could be picking up a horrible habit that has the potential to damage the way in which she is viewed in the public eye, as many still view her as a class act who is above subtweets and Twitter beef.  Just last month Gabby went off on a woman who claimed to be Dwyane Wade’s mistress.

Do you think Gabby had Siovaughn in mind when she sent those tweets?

Siovaughn Funches-Wade Tells Dr. Phil The Judge Who Ruled In Dwyane Wade Custody Case Wasn’t ‘A Fan of Justice’

When the ex-wife of Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is mentioned, negativity almost always follows. She’s been accused of everything from attacking her ex-husband to slashing his tires, all of which she denies. At one point, she even attempted to bring a lawsuit against Dwyane’s current girlfriend Gabrielle Union, claiming that Union is a homewrecker and a negative influence on her children. The case was eventually dismissed. After a grueling custody battle with her ex-husband,  Siovaughn Funches-Wade lost custody of her children and was only granted alternate weekend visits by the courts. In a recent interview with Dr. Phil, Funches-Wade opened up about the battle and discussed why she believes her ex-husband was given preferential treatment by the courts. Here’s some of what she had to say.

On losing the custody battle:

“Well a lot of it had to do with Mr. Wade’s celebrity and a lot of it had to do with his money. But I’ve seen the court system in a way that I’ve never seen it before. I went into that place hoping to get help for my children and I, but I found judges in the courtroom quoting statistics for Mr. Wade. They would speak about him as if they were introducing the starting lineup for a basketball game. “

“One time we were doing scheduling and we were asking when would Mr. Wade come in and testify. And she was saying, ‘Oh, I know when he’ll be in Chicago. They play the Bulls and right now they’re in Philadelphia.’ She knew all of these things and she’d say all of the time, ‘I’m a huge basketball fan.’ I was sort of hoping she’d be a fan of justice, but I found otherwise.”

On having a “volatile” and “over the top” reputation:

“Well, my ex-husband had a publicist. And as far as the records reveal, it [Wade's publicist's retainer fee] may have been approximately $20,000 per month. When you’re able to pay someone that amount of money a month to plant your stories… “

 On mistakes she’s made:

“I’ll say this: I’m not perfect. There’s no perfect parent. As far as being intentionally absent or intentionally harmful to my children, I won’t take that because that would be incorrect.”

Ladies, have you ever met a guy who you thought to be the man of your dreams until he dropped a load on you such as “I have five kids” or “My wife and I are separated, but we still live together”? Did you take the optimistic route and say to yourself, “Hey, no one is perfect,” or did you politely excuse yourself and save his number under “Don’t Answer”? Almost every woman has a list of deal breakers that she vows to never ever tolerate from a man. But, what if the guy is rich, I mean racks on racks on racks rich, or famous? Do those rules still apply? The following men seem to keep drama, a load of women, baby mothers and craziness in their lifestyle, but women still flock to be with them. Could you date them?

Eddie Murphy

One can’t mention comedy without the great Eddie Murphy coming to mind. This funny man has been responsible for having us doubled over in stitches for ages. What has many giggling these days, however, is his up and down love life. His first marriage ended in divorce, but resulted in five children. In addition to the five children that he had with his wife, he also fathered two other children, not to mention a daughter with former Spice Girl, Mel B (a little girl he denied for a long while). While we’re on the subject, we can’t forget about his fake “symbolic” marriage to Tracy Edmonds that lasted all of 16 days. Murphy is now said to be dating “106 & Park” host Rosci. Ladies, could you date a guy with 8 kids, 4 baby mamas, and a turbulent dating history such as this one?

She’s Still Cray: Dwyane Wade’s Ex-Wife Arrested For Child Abduction

Father’s Day was a filled with quite a bit of drama around the Wade household. Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade’s ex-wife Siovaugh Funches was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted child abduction, two counts of unlawful visitation interference and one count of resisting arrest after she delayed the boys’ return to D. Wade’s custody in Miami. And now Dwyane has filed an emergency motion asking a Chicago judge to suspend his ex-wife’s visitation rights completely.

According to The Associated Press, here’s how the problem started:

According to the filing, the two boys were to be picked up by Wade’s sister around noon Saturday so they could make a 3:05 p.m. flight from Chicago to Miami so they could be in South Florida for the entirety of Father’s Day.

Wade’s sister got no response at the home, and after “several hours” the sheriff’s office was called to send someone to the scene, according to the filing. It also said Funches-Wade attempted to leave the home without the children when one of the responding deputies tried taking her into custody. The boys, at that time, were with Alarcon inside the home, according to the filing.

Wade eventually hired a private jet to bring his sons home early Sunday, and upon their arrival, his older son told him that Alarcon “smacked him on the head,” according to court records.

Alcaron is Nadgee Alarcon, a woman who is a part of the A Woman’s Worth ministry Siovaughn founded and who was also charged with one count of resisting arrest in connection with this incident. It’s hard to tell from that bit of information whether Siovaughn was really trying to pull something, which makes Dwyane’s response seem a bit dramatic, but given his ex-wife’s history it appears he didn’t want to take any chances. Plus, it was Father’s Day.

“That’s what mattered most to me, getting them here to be with me on Father’s Day,” he told AP.

In his court filing he wrote in reference to Siovaughn:

“Once again, S.L. has used our minor children as the proverbial pawns in this contentious dissolution of marriage action. This court must take action to protect our minor children from further exposure to the present environment S.L. creates while they are in her care and preventing S.L. from exercising her parenting time in a manner that is harmful to our children. The minor children have been subjected to great deal of drama/trauma as a result of S.L.’s conduct.”

Siovaughn was reportedly taken to a hospital after her arrest, telling officers she was experiencing shortness of breath and thought she was having an asthma attack. On Monday, she posted her $10,000 bond and was released from custody and is due back in court in August. She may have to seek new representation though, because according to a filing late Tuesday, the law firm of Kalcheim Haber LLC asked the court for permission to withdraw as attorney for Funches-Wade, saying it has been “unable to resolve significant issues regarding” the direction of her representation.

Meanwhile, Dwayne’s hearing regarding cutting his ex’s visitation is set for June 26, which could end up being the date of Game 7 of the NBA Finals if the Heat and Thunder extend the series to its limit. So far, the drama hasn’t affected his game at all which is good for The Heat, but hopefully his sons are holding up OK.

Do you think Siovaughn should have been arrested?
