#DemBabies are only one-year-old cuties and already they’ve seen more fabulous countries than most adults (#PassportPimpin’). I mean Roc was just in Morocco with Mariah (the place he was named after of course), and the twins celebrated their birthdays in Paris. Too bad they might not remember all of these awesome travels when they get older. But anywho, while Nick and Mariah took their bundles of joy to Italy, they took a few photos of their little ones enjoying the glamorous life. In the first pic, the twins are rolling around in a wagon. Nick’s caption was, “Ridin around and they gettin it!” In the second one, Roc is all bundled up in a bathrobe, and Nick’s hilarious caption for that one was, “Roc big pimpin in Italy!” Check out the cute-sy images below from the proud papa’s Twitter:

Solange and her son, Daniel, were seen wearing fashionable flotation devices before taking a dip, Dwyane Wade, his sons Zion and Zaire and his nephew got all cheesy (for the camera of course), and Swizz Beatz spent some quality time with his kids (minus baby Egypt). Check out all the cutie goodness below:

Is Sex Better When You’re on Vacation?

From YourTango.com

Memorial Day Weekend is upon us, ladies and gentlemen — ’tis the season to wear white jeans, indulge in a back yard barbeque and, of course, go on vacation.

Speaking of vacation, traveling can be quite the romantic experience. Sure, there is likely plenty of nagging, awkward sunburns and uncomfortable TSA frisking associated with getaways, but there’s lots of sex involved, too, say the survey aficionados at Zoosk. They picked the brains of 1,500 Americans for their thoughts on travel, romance and — of course — sex.

Zoosk found that 69 percent of men and 72 percent of women think having sex while on vacation is better than doing it at home. Is sun and sand the reason we’re so turned on while at the beach? Or, perhaps, the musty smell of a muggy hotel room in the Caribbean? Sadly, those questions aren’t answered, but there’s plenty to learn about the best — and worst — of couples vacations.

Find out the pros and cons of vacation sex at YourTango.com.

But if you live by more conventional style standards, your white fits have been hiding in the back of your closet. Either way, we finally made it past Memorial Day, so it’s socially acceptable to come out in all white. And it’s definitely fashionably acceptable to walk out the house looking crisp and clean in alabaster and ivory shades. Author Says Blacks Were The First to Celebrate Memorial Day

"black soldiers"By B. Hutson

On Monday, the nation will pause to honor those courageous men and women who have served and gave their lives all in the spirit of patriotism. But did you know that African Americans were the first to celebrate our fallen soldiers?

According to Black America Web, Yale University history professor David Blight says that blacks in Charleston, South Carolina launched the first Decoration Day, in which they decorate the graves of dead soldiers, in honor of the Union’s war dead on May 1, 1865.

“That ceremony on May 1, 1865 was actually the first recorded Decoration Day or Memorial Day,” said Blight.

Fifteen years ago, Blight was in a Harvard University library doing research for his book, “Reunion and Race,” when he came across a box of unorganized papers of a Union veterans’ organization and a folder labeled “First Decoration Day.”

The information contained in that folder led Blight to South Carolina and the former Washington Race Course and Jockey Club, a once prestigious horse racing track that became a prison for Union soldiers during the Civil War. Blight said many soldiers died there, but were not properly buried.

Following the Confederate surrender ending the Civil War, blacks went to the place where hundreds of prisoners had been buried, many in mass graves. Those blacks, many of which were recently freed slaves, gave the soldiers a proper burial, explained Blight. Following the burials, there was a ceremony.

“They put up a fence around the area and painted it,” he said. “More than 260 were buried there. We don’t know the names. We don’t know the race.”

Blight admits that finding an account of the celebration was difficult at first.

“That shows that some parts of history can be lost, depending on who is in control,” Blight said. “You have to realize that the white Democrats in South Carolina soon returned to power. The Republicans were out of office. The blacks were out of office. Southerners did not want to remember the war, especially through an event such as this.”

Though this news surely won’t have any affect on how Memorial Day is celebrated, it’s still a nice history lesson to take in, seeing as how all the contributions blacks have made to this country are consistently overlooked.

Do Your Homework Before Memorial Day Shopping Spree

(Daily Finance) — Memorial Day weekend sets the stage for summer spending: Retailers pull out all the stops to move fresh merchandise, and if you play your cards right, you can take advantage of the best selection of the season, and promotional offers that are there for the taking. But even though it’s the semi-official start of summer, you’ll want to do your homework first.  After all, the first rule in Retail 101 is: Give customers the price that will induce them to make a purchase, but no lower. If you want to shop recreationally and don’t care about getting the extra 20% off you could just by flashing a coupon, there’s not a store in America that won’t happily let you. Especially this weekend, when shopping can be fueled by the pack mentality of extended family and friends out together and we’re-at-the-beach-so-all-bets-are-off impulsiveness.

“You never know when it’s going to catch you by surprise,” said Jim Frazier, whose 24-year-old son, Jacob, was killed in Afghanistan in 2003. “I can be driving down the Kennedy and something will hit me … and I’ll find myself choking up. You never really get over it.”
