If You Liked RiRi Woo, You’ll Love This: Rihanna Set To Release Her Second Color Collection With MAC

I don’t know about you, but ever since I picked up Rihanna’s lipstick collaboration with MAC, RiRi Woo, I’ve been in love. That color pops on everyone I’ve seen wear it, and as far as I know, there are no signs of herpes popping up on anybody’s mouth…yet. And if RiRi Woo wasn’t enough for you, you’ll be happy to know that there a few new additions to her RiRi (Hearts) MAC Summer collection that you’ll need to scoop up by next Tuesday.
The new additions to Ri’s collaboration with MAC include two new lipsticks, a bronzer/blush combination and golden lustre drops (which is a liquid highlighter if you weren’t sure). The two new lipsticks are RiRi Boy, which is a bright lavender color, while the other shade is a dark berry joint called “Heaux.” Yes, you read that right. Both new colors have a matte finish that I’m sure we’ll see on Rihanna’s lips soon while she tours. On top of that, Rihanna is also releasing a bronzer and blush (in a coral/orange color) combo called Hibiscus Kiss, as well as those lustre drops we were talking about in a rose gold called Barbados Girl.
These colors and products are definitely hot, and if the stans can help it, I’m sure all four new items will sell out in hours just like RiRi Woo did. Will you be picking up any of the new items when they drop on June 18?
A Nice Bite: Guess How Much Apple Employees Make On Average
Apple grosses an estimated $13 billion annually. So did you ever wonder how much the average worker at the company makes? (Unless you work there, then you already know.) Wonder no more.
As the company plans to build a new “spaceship” headquarters in Cupertino, CA, it has released all sorts of information in order to gain formal approval. As part of the process, the company commissioned a big economic impact study, reports Business Insider. And this study, which the company hopes proves why their headquarters will be good for Cupertino, reveals how much Apple workers make.
According to the report, Apple has 2,112 employees living in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. These employees were paid a total of $262 million. When you figure this out, on average, a corporate Apple employee is making $124,053. (Apple retail employees earn less.)
Compare this to the employees of investment banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs. According to Bloomberg Businessweek, Goldman paid its employees $135,594 on average for the first three months of the year. Three months!
Still, $124,053 is for the average Apple employee. CEO Tim Cook got $4.2 million in compensation last year, notes Business Insider.
Gross: Harlem Woman Claims She Got Herpes From Rihanna’s RiRi Woo Lipstick
There are some headlines you come across that literally make you want to shout in your Tamar voice, “Girl, go get your life!” That is exactly how I felt when I saw this article: ‘Harlem Woman Sues MAC After Getting Herpes From RiRi Woo Pop-Up Shop.’
Unlike the usual T-shirt souvenir one would receive from a concert, Starkeema Greenidge, 28 of Harlem, NY, claims she received herpes after attending Rihanna’s Diamond World Tour, according to the NY Daily News. On May 7, Greenidge attended Ri-Ri’s concert at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center and while there she browsed the MAC pop-up shop which promoted Rihanna’s new RiRi Woo lipstick. According to the lawsuit document, while Greenidge shopped, a MAC employee instructed her to apply the display RiRi Woo lipstick on her lips. Greenidge claims:
“(MAC) didn’t use a fresh or new lipstick tube, but rather one that had been used for other patrons.” The lawsuit also states, “MAC should have known . . . it was unsanitary and exposing patrons to possible spread of disease.”
Two days after the concert, a cold sore reportedly appeared on Greenidge’s lip; her doctor diagnosed it as herpes. The damages Greenidge requested are unspecified but she states this incident has caused her “mental anguish and emotional distress.” “According to the site, STD Testing, oral herpes, caused by HSV1, is the country’s most prevalent viral STDs.”
Although I feel sorry Ms. Greenidge has contracted an incurable disease while supporting her favorite artist, everyone knows it is best for tester lipsticks to be used on your hand instead of your actual mouth. As my mother says, “all sense is not common.”
How do you think our girl Rihanna would respond to this lawsuit?

RiRi Woo, the MAC lipstick shade created in collaboration with Rihanna, sold out online in three hours. During that time, “RiRi Woo” was trending on Twitter as customers complained of multiple failed attempts to get through to make the purchase.
The collaboration was announced in February. At the time, Jennifer Balbier, senior VP of global product development for MAC said Rihanna was insistent that “the color be suitable for every skin tone.”
For her part, Rihanna said she’s been using MAC products on tour for ages.
The next time the shade will be available will be in June. But for those with tickets to the Diamonds World Tour’s stop at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn (ahem!) you can buy them on-site at a MAC pop-up store that will be set up in the arena.
“Some People Should Just Come Out Of The Closet”: Azealia Banks Comes For A$AP Rocky For Red Lipstick Comments

We told you a few days ago how Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky, in an interview with The Coveteur, shared his beauty advice with women (yes, he’s a man) and got a pretty negative response for it after saying that only light-skinned women (no, he’s NOT a light-skinned black man or woman) should walk around wearing red lipstick. His comments went something like this if you forgot:
“I feel like with the red lipstick thing it all depends on the pair of complexion. I’m just being for real. You have to be fair skinned to get away with that. Just like if you were to wear like—F**king for instance, what do dark skin girls have that you know fair skinned girls can’t do…Purple lipstick? Naw, that looks stupid on all girls! Purple lipstick, guys! Like, what the F**k.”
I think we can all agree unanimously that that was a major FAIL on his part. And out of all the women who felt some kind of way about his comments, female rapper Azealia Banks (who loves us by the way…naw, I’m just kidding!) took the comments personally, seeing as she wears red and purple lipstick, and had her own plum shade called Yung Rapunxel while doing a collaboration with MAC last year. She took to Twitter on multiple occasions in the last day or so to let it be known that she took her fellow Harlem MC’s opinions personally…
Lol @ asap rockys lipstick advice.
Some people should just come out of the closet.
Guess some people weren’t feeling her first couple of comments, because she talked about his comments again today and responded to them. And then spoke her opinion a few more times in the last few hours.
So rocky takes a direct blow to my image about dark skin and purple lipstick, then as soon as I’m a offended …. I’m the bad guy.
Typical day in the life of AB.
That comment was so hurtful. Like hurtful beyond measure. Coming from him especially……
It made me cry. It did.
Especially since rocky stole my hair style from the 212 video …..
I remember these dudes when they didn’t even have haircuts and cabfare….
Veeeery interesting. According to A$AP, Banks used to date a member of the collective A$AP Mob, and even if she didn’t, Harlem isn’t that big, so I’m sure that they did know each other well before we knew anything about these two in the industry. Hence her last Twitter comment. And while she hasn’t said much about him before his misguided lipstick advice, he’s had plenty to say about her. He told Rap-Up last year that she needed to quit with all the beefs:
“I like her for what she’s worth. I do think she gotta chill out with the beefin’ and all that other stuff and disrespecting the O.G.s. She the homegirl, so it ain’t nothin’ but a little talk to her. I think if she stays out of trouble, she’ll have longevity.”
Well, she’s coming for you now, your lipstick advice, sexuality, AND your hair, bruh! Oh the drama…
What do you think of her comments about his own comments?
She’s At It Again: Rihanna Adds to Fashion Line With MAC Cosmetics Partnership
Just days after her fashion line with British company River Island was panned mercilessly in the media, Rihanna announced a partnership (on her birthday, February 20… happy belated!) with cosmetics company MAC to create 31 products for the RiRi [Hearts] MAC line. And just like so many celebrity partnerships these days, this deal comes with a new title for RiRi: ”creative partner.”
According to OMG! from Yahoo, the first item to come from the partnership will be RiRi Woo red lipstick, which will be sold at the Barclay’s Center on May 4, when Rihanna is performing in concert. She posted the photo below on Instagram with the message: “That’s right baby, I’m a #MACgal now! “Get into it, package designed and products created from scratch by yours truly! Thanks to the EPIC team at #MAC for giving me the opportunity to play and share my favorite s**t with my fans and yours.”
We also have some behind-the-scenes footage from her London Fashion Week show, just made available. Check it out below.
