According to court papers obtained by Bossip, Siohvaughn Funches says $10 million is what it will take for her to end all the back and forth with ex-husband Dwyane Wade and his attorneys. She claims that she’s due this large amount of money because many of the NBA star’s endorsement deals were made while the pair was married. That includes partnerships with the likes of T-Mobile, Staples and Gatorade. Considering that she supported him before he made it to the league and after, money from those endorsements, as well as a part of his “royalties and other revenue,” she believes should go to her. All of this came out in papers filed last week in the malpractice case against her former lawyer. In case you missed it, Funches felt that her former lawyer Brian Hurst pressured her into taking the $5 million settlement in 2013 after failing to show her Wade’s business contracts, therefore keeping her out of the loop of how much Wade was really making. This, despite Hurst allegedly telling Funches throughout his representation of her that she was entitled to at least $10 million.
Funches reopened their divorce case, which a judge gave the green light to, after Wade signed a new two-year contract with the Chicago Bulls worth $47.5 million in July. So now she’s going after both Hurst and Wade.
According to Bossip, “Funches said Hurst failed to get her key demands met in the case, like making Wade pay her law school tuition, travel expenses for their sons and getting their marital home appraised. She said the lawyer agreed to the settlement without Funches’ OK, which included a clause that she couldn’t trash talk Wade – something she said she’d never agree to.”
At this point, Funches believed Hurst sabotaged her case, as he reportedly didn’t even tell her when she needed to show up for court, didn’t fight to have Wade pay her legal fees or be penalized for violating an injuction in their divorce case, and didn’t seek alimony for Funches, who was allegedly unemployed and in law school when they divorced. And as the court papers state, she believes that had it not been “for the defendant’s negligence,” she would have indeed received a higher settlement.
Although former NBA star and coach Derek Fisher seemingly moved on from his marriage a long time ago by entering into a relationship with former Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan (and even getting beaten up for her), his complicated divorce from Candace Fisher is finally official and settled. The two were married for 10 years and split a month after their 10th anniversary last March.
According to TMZ, Candace will take home quite a bit of money, both in terms of spousal and child support. Derek has agreed to pay $15,000 a month in child support for their 9-year-old twins, Marshall and Chloe. And he has also agreed to pay his ex-wife–get this–$109,000 a month in spousal support, which will equate to $1.3 million a year. Derek did start his NBA career in 1996 and made quite a pretty penny as a coach for the New York Knicks for two years. So in case you were wondering, he can afford it.
And another important detail in their divorce settlement is the decision both parties agreed to make to destroy embryos they had frozen during their marriage. They were being held at a reproductive center in California. With terms agreed upon and the destruction of their embryos, the Fishers’ bitter divorce has finally come to an end.

Can You Pay My Bills? You Sure Will! Porsha Stewart (Aka, Williams) Awarded Temporary Spousal Support
No pre-nup, no excuse when you lose that money, honey.
That’s what Kordell Stewart is learning as a judge in Fulton County Court in Georgia has awarded Porsha Stewart, nee Williams, temporary spousal support while the former reality TV couple’s divorce settlement plays out in court.
He could be coming out of pocket a lot more money if it’s proven that there was no pre-nup (though his lawyers say that there was while Porsha says there was not), and so far, it seems that there wasn’t one put in order.
According to court papers, Williams will receive $5,000 for about three months, and any items of Porsha’s that Kordell has kept from her (you know, since he did change the locks on her a few months back), he has been ordered to give back to her or pay to put in storage. Attorney’s fees have not been resolved yet, but aside from all that, while on break from filming Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kordell will have to supply her with the funds she “needs” to stay fabulous.
We’ll keep you posted as more developments come out surrounding their battle in court, but things aren’t looking too good for Kordell…oh well!
I know Michelle Ghent is one happy woman right now. The now ex-wife of Terrence Howard can finally call herself a single lady again now that her divorce settlement with the actor is final.
TMZ reported in December that things between the two were coming to a close but apparently the pair wasn’t too happy with the way belongings were going to be divided and they’ve been battling every since. Now, the gossip site says that a judge finalized the couple’s split earlier this week, and unlike other typical divorce settlements where the wife takes their husband for everything, Terrence reportedly made out this time. TMZ says Terrence gets to keep the couple’s marital properties, which includes two homes in Pennsylvania and 25 bank accounts. Twenty-five though? Has he been making moves, or should I say movies, we don’t know about?
Michelle didn’t totally lose out. She will be getting spousal support for the next three years to the tune of $5,800 a month, but the former missus has been ordered to return Terrence’s 2011 Range Rover. Thankfully, she gets to keep her bike and a BMW. Those are probably mild consolation prizes considering the nightmare of a marriage Michelle claims to have had with the actor. When she filed for divorce in February 2011, the couple had only been married for one year but she accused Terrence of abusing her and sought a restraining order against him. He, in turn, accused Michelle of being racist. What one thing has to do with the other we’re not sure, but the important thing now, I suppose, is that the two can move on. Although that may make Terrence no nevermind, considering he’s had a new girlfriend for about as long as the couple has been trying to settle this divorce. SMH
Husbands On Deck: Reports Claim Kim And Kanye Are Getting Married Immediately After Birth Of Their Child
After finally reaching a divorce settlement with ex Kris Humphries last month, rumor has it that Kim Kardashian is ready to be wifed up again, and very soon. But first thing first–she has to have that baby.
According to Radar Online, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will allegedly be trying to tie the knot in Los Angeles soon after their little one comes into the world. The source, an individual close to the Kardashians, told Radar that Kanye has signed off on “all of the stipulations,” and is down with whichever wedding planner Kim wants. However, he’s not about to have the ceremony become some sort of front-of-the-magazine spectacle, as her marriage to Kris Humphries was. No selling of wedding photos to any magazines for the sake of just having some extra pocket change. But they claim that he reportedly wants to do a short film (no word on what it will specifically be about), and any profits made would go to one of Kim’s charities of choice.
Word is, if the divorce paperwork is finalized in time (the baby is reportedly supposed to arrive in June, after she originally told the media July to throw folks off), all should be good to go. But until then, Yeezy will stay in Paris, doing whatever he’s doing…while Kim jets all over the world to be with him. Ready to pop.
It would be nice if before they actually married, they were in the same place together for more than a few days…I’m just saying. But we’ll have to wait and see what happens won’t we?
While Kevin and Torrei Hart’s divorce was settled after more than five years of marriage in November of 2011, the former couple had never reached a decision regarding financials. Well, until now that is. Kevin Hart’s attorney Debra Opri has finally settled the financials of the divorce, reports TMZ.
Kevin is currently reported to be worth an estimated $9 million and will pay Torrei a lump sum of $175,000. Many are saying that Kevin got off kind of easy with the settlement. Some even believe that the couple had some sort of prenuptial agreement. In addition to the lump sum, Kevin will be required to cough up $19, 875 per month in child support for the former couple’s 8-year-old daughter Heaven and 5-year-old son Hendrix. We also hear that Torrei walked away with an Escalade truck and jewelry.
While everyone will more than likely have their two cents to contribute regarding the seemingly small amount of money that Torrei was awarded in comparison to other Hollywood divorces, what really matters is her happiness and peace of mind. She doesn’t appear to have allowed her divorce to cause her to miss a step as she continues to put our hilarious videos. Just a couple of weeks ago, photos surfaced of Torrei all dressed up, happily celebrating her birthday with family, friends and her two beautiful children, aboard a yacht.
She appears to be in a great place.
Well, It’s About Time: Allen Iverson And Soon-To-Be-Ex-Wife Tawanna Finally Reach A Divorce Settlement
After nearly three years of drawn-out divorce proceedings, Allen Iverson and soon-to-be-ex-wife Tawanna Iverson have finally reached a divorce settlement. According to Hip Hop Enquirer, while sitting in a Fulton County courthouse, both Allen and Tawanna informed judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane that they have reached an agreement as to how they will go about splitting Allen’s $18 million dollars as a part of their marital assets. The judge’s name may sound familiar because she is the same judge who presided over Usher Raymond and Tameka Foster’s custody battle.
It seems that the biggest issue that presented itself in the Iverson’s divorce was how to fairly divide the large amount of trust money that Allen acquired as a result of his lifetime deal with Reebok that he signed back in 2001. Thankfully, somehow, someway both Allen and Tawanna were able to reach an agreement in which they were both satisfied.
Following the trial, Allen’s attorney, Melanie Fenwick-Thompson expressed her client’s contentment with the outcome of the case:
“Our client is extremely pleased with the outcome of the case even though we came in near the end of it, we had an uphill battle. Mr. Iverson showed up ready to actively participate in his case and fight for the things he wanted.”
It’s a bad day for Charlie Bell, the ex-husband of “Basketball Wives” star Kenya Bell. After a drawn out divorce settlement, the former NBA player has finally been ordered to pay up big — big as in practically giving his ex-wife half of everything.
As TMZ broke it down, here’s the payout Kenya will get:
Kids: Charlie has to shell out $1,000/month in child support, but they’ll share custody of their two daughters. Neither party has to cough up spousal support.
Homes: Kenya scored the marital home in Michigan, along with the home bought for her parents. Charlie gets the condo in Vegas and the home he bought his parents.
Money: Kenya was awarded $780,000 cash from Charlie’s savings … leaving him with $656,000. She also gets half of the $670,000 from another account.
That doesn’t sound so bad, although with Charlie previously claiming he doesn’t have money like he used to and that he actually deserved some of Kenya’s “Basketball Wives” money, we’re pretty sure he’s not too happy about giving up his savings. Unfortunately for him, it gets much worse. Kenya is also entitled to half of Charlie’s NBA 401k plan, half of his NBA retirement plan, half of his NBA pension, half of his NBA welfare plan, and half of his NBA supplement benefit plan. In other words, Charlie is screwed and Kenya is probably off somewhere picking out a new Hermes bag.
I’d say the former couple’s two children should be well taken care of with all the cash coming Kenya’s way; Charlie however is probably somewhere kicking himself or crying in the half of his money he actually has left. I wonder if Kenya will even want that “Basketball Wives” money anymore.
