“It’s all about falling in love with yourself and sharing that love with someone who appreciates you, rather than looking for love to compensate for a self-love deficit.”
Eartha Kitt was preaching when she shared that advice. With that being said, it’s time to stop looking to find your other half and start ensuring that you’re whole. Your future relationships will thank you later.
Give Yourself The Love You’ve Been Dreaming Of Receiving
All those things on your “What the man of my dreams would do for me list”? Do them for yourself. If you wait for a man to make you happy, you run the risk of not feeling content until you find one.
Find What You’re Good At
Then get really good at it. It will make you shine with a confidence that’s hard to resist.
Spend Time With People Who Love You
Call your grandmother, make time for your high school BFF. The best cure for feeling thirsty is to drink up all the unconditional love around you.
Stay Away From Negativity
Starting today, only make room in your life for love. It’s good practice.
Forgive Yourself
Get bored with your past and get over it. You can’t let in the future if you’re storing all that baggage from the past.
Start Making Those Changes
The things you don’t love about yourself don’t have to stay that way forever. Get excited about your life and you’ll attract someone who is too.
Look Good for Yourself
Not for someone else. It will give you the kind of swagger that will just so happen to attract others.
Get Active
Not just for your waistline. Exercise pumps you full of endorphins, which automatically boost your happiness levels.
Smile More
However, don’t do it just because someone (a creepy guy on the street) tells you to. Everyone knows that you smile when you’re happy. But did you know that simply smiling can make you happy?
Give More Love
The more love you share, the more love comes back to you. Do favors without expecting anything in return and you’ll be rewarded when you least expect it.
Open Your Heart
Even if someone has hurt you before. A closed heart may block out pain, but it can also block out good love.
