Hollywood relationships can be rough. And these celebrities say they’ll never date another person who is in the spotlight again. When you hear their reasons, you will understand.

Keyshia Cole

Splitting from estranged husband, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson, must have really done a number on singer Keyshia Cole. When TMZ asked her if she’d ever want to date an athlete again, Cole said, “No, I don’t even want to meet one.”

As tumultuous as their relationship was, can you blame her?

Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx may currently be rumored to be dating Katie Holmes, but he’s gone on record in the past and said that he would never date a celebrity again. Why? A bad experience with one who remains unnamed put him off the A-list dating list for good.

Keri Hilson

Keri Hilson may be with a well-known basketball player now, but she has always been vocal about not dating rappers. Why? Hilson told Chelsea Handler, “When you mix a man who has popularity, who has money, who has b*tches, that’s a scary thing for me. It doesn’t speak to my insecurities, it’s just not the type of man that I want and I think I’m not the type of girl they want. I have a brain, I’m a little more than they bargained for.”

Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert isn’t completely against dating celebrity men. But he has said he’s done dating famous ones who are in the closet.

“Actors and entertainers can’t be open about their sexuality and it’s hard to live that life. It’s difficult to date someone who’s so worried about their reputation. I don’t think I could date anyone in the closet again.”

Anyone else dying to know who those closeted entertainers he speaks of are?

Ashley Benson

Some celebrities can make a high-profile relationship work, but the Pretty Little Liars star has said that it’s just not for her:

“I don’t think I would be able to date a high profile actor the way Angelina Jolie has. Her and Brad have done a good job at keeping private but I’m sure that takes work.

It’s too much attention when two powerful people are together. Everything is heightened and exaggerated.”

But that hasn’t stopped the rumors from swirling. Benson said, “The strangest thing that I’ve read is that I’ve dated all the male co-stars I’ve had on Pretty Little Liars. None of it is true. It’s disgusting.”

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria said that she’s done dating celebrities because everyone’s just been around the block too much. After having her heart broken by Tony Parker, it’s understandable.

“It is very ugly out there in the celebrity world. Everybody seems to have slept with everybody else. And I don’t want to get involved.”

Calvin Harris

Sometimes the decision to stop dating celebrities comes from experience. After dating singers Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding, DJ Calvin Harris told Capital FM, “I don’t like celebrity women, nah.”

Ironically, Harris is currently dating Taylor Swift. Guess he likes celebrity women after all.

Bow Wow

In an interesting twist on dating while famous, rapper Bow Wow said he wouldn’t date a woman who has dated a rapper or an athlete – but then he turned around and proposed to Erica Mena. We don’t know what to say about that.

Margot Robbie

The Wolf of Wall Street star said that she might be attracted to actors, but she doesn’t want to double her dating stress by actually going out with them:

“I made a conscious decision not to date actors, but not because I hate actors. That’s a nasty generalization to make, and that’s not the case.

People take such an interest in your love life when you have a profile that it puts a lot of stress on a relationship. So, two people with profiles, I figure it’s just double the amount of scrutiny, and I’d like to avoid that at all costs.”

Nicki Minaj

Bow Wow isn’t the only celebrity to change his mind. Once upon a time, Capital Xtra asked Minaj why she wasn’t dating Drake, and she said, “He is perfect but I don’t know about guys in the industry… I think two artists [dating], that’s hard.”

We wonder what it was about her current boo that changed her mind…

Emma Watson

Emma Watson recently said that her reasons for not dating famous men are more about protecting her significant other than herself.

“I don’t date people who are famous. I don’t think it’s fair that, all of a sudden, intimate details of their personal life are public as a direct result of me.”

Jessica Chastain

Actress Jessica Chastain said that she doesn’t need the drama that comes with having a celebrity boo.

“It just puts a magnifying glass on you. If you want to be really famous, then date another famous person. But the fame is not the part of my life that I am excited about.”

Brandi Glanville

Reality star Brandi Glanville, the ex-wife of actor Eddie Cibrian, said she would never date a celebrity again because of the competition.

“It doesn’t ever seem to end well for me, and it’s usually more about them and their ego. So no more actors for me and no more athletes, because there are just too many options for them. They could have any girl that they want — and they have them all.”

Given how her last high-profile relationship ended, we can’t say we blame her.
