Beyonce’s Blue

Dedicated to her beautiful daughter, Beyonce caused our hearts to melt with sweet lyrics and the sound of Blue’s voice on this track.

Cause when you open your eyes, I feel alive

My heart beats so damn quick when you say my name
When I’m holding you tight, I’m so alive
Now let’s just live it up

Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely

Stevie Wonder’s 1976 hit was dedicated to and about his daughter Aisha. Who didn’t fall in love with her crying and splashing in the tub and the classic “Come on, Aisha. Get out of the water, Baby?”

Madonna’s Little Star

The Material Girl dedicated her 1998’s “Ray of Light” to her biological daughter Lourdes.

We’re still swooning over these lovely lyrics:

Into my broken heart.

Billy Joel’ s Goodnight, My Angel

This soul stirring  ballad was for his daughter Alexa Ray when she was seven after she asked him, “Daddy what happens when you die?”

Jay-Z’s Glory

John Lennon’s  Beautiful Boy

Beatle rocker John Lennon dedicated this song to his second son, Sean.  It was released about a month before he was murdered in 1980. Famous lyrics were:

To see you come of age
But I guess we’ll both just have to be patient

Will Smith’s  Just The Two Of Us

Back in 1997 Will Smith then known as The Fresh Prince wrote a sweet chart topper for his oldest son Trey. They rapped together in the song too.

As I slipped out my bed,
to your crib I crept.
Touched your head gently,
felt my heart melt.

Sheryl Crow’s Lullaby for Wyatt

In honor of Sheryl Crow’s adoption of her first son Wyatt in 2007  she wrote this love song lullaby for him. Though she’s been quoted as saying that it never put him to sleep.

Britney Spears’ My Baby

Spears credited her recovery for her season of pain to her two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James, as displayed in her 2008 song, “My Baby.”

This is our favorite line in the song:

How did I get through all of my days without you? Now living with you, see everything’s true.

Eminem’s Hailie’s Song

Showing a softer sign the rapper sang for the first (and last?) time in this song dedicated to his daughter.

But then I see my baby
Suddenly i’m not crazy
It all makes sense when i look into her eyes.
