When you say ’til death do us part, your relationship gets an upgrade. It’s serious; no more of that boyfriend-girlfriend stuff, and that should extend to your decision to wrap it up, right? Not so fast. Over 6 million women in the United States use condoms; obviously some of them are married. In honor of International Condom Day (February 13) we wanted to find out from our community if our married couples use condoms and how you felt about it. The answers might surprise you.

We use them for birth control
“While nursing we did. I couldn’t take oral birth control and prefer not to.” — Portia

“Yes, ’cause my tubes were tied plus I was on the pill and I still got preggo. Condoms are added birth control.” — Johanna

Nope. Never.
“Um, no!” –Myanya

“That would be a no. Wouldn’t this bring up trust issues?!” –Nicholas

“I would never!” –Kenyatta

There’s that whole cheating thing…
“So, I realize all men/women don’t cheat but should you have any doubt, condoms should be used. So I guess my answer is yes!” –Robin

“You better. People be cheating.” –Sonia

“Everyone’s saying yeah, because the other person might be cheating. If I thought my husband was cheating why would I be sleeping with him? That’s a whole other thing that would need to be addressed.” — Raina

“For non-hormonal birth control, okay, I get it. But for the “just in case he/she cheats”, “I don’t know what he’s doing” in your marriage–you’ve lost me!” — Kirstin

What about pleasure

“Hell no. Why would I cheat myself out of the pleasure?” — Natalie
