What are the chances of you swiping right and landing on a celebrity? Apparently, your chances are very high. Tinder CEO Sean Rad says that there are “a ton” of celebs on Tinder. Only, he can’t name them for confidentiality reasons.
Lucky for us, these celebs have outed themselves. You won’t believe the A-list stars looking for an online hookup!
Eric Stonestreet
Tinder women who thought the Modern Family star was actually gay are in for a big surprise. Not only does Eric Stonestreet have Tinder, he uses it to hook up with women all over the country.
He even told Howard Stern that his interview was keeping him from his next hookup. Apparently, Stonestreet started chatting with one nice, young Tinder-oni the night before his interview. But when Stern asked if he sealed the deal, Eric said:
“No because I was coming here early in the morning and we started texting at 10 o’clock last night and at 11 o’clock she reveals that she was down and I’m like, ‘I gotta go to bed! And I’m telling Howard that he cost me some pu**y last night!’”
Oh. My. Goodness.
Britney Spears
Jimmy Fallon actually signed Britney up for the app. When Spears made a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show — two weeks after she found out that David Lucado cheated on her — Fallon signed her up to help her find some more faithful fish in the sea (on Tinder though?).
Chelsea Handler
Chelsea Handler says she is 100 percent down with hooking up with “anonymous random men. That’s exactly what I’m looking for.”
But the star hasn’t signed up for the app just yet:
“I’m going to go on Tinder, I just keep forgetting to. I would, I don’t mind that idea at all. You can verify me, I’ll verify that I’m me.
Or you could just text me and I’ll text you back and say, ‘I’m famous, let’s f**k’.”
Alrighty then!
Ed Sheeran
OK, so the “Thinking Out Loud” singer isn’t actually on Tinder. But he was offered Tinder’s first ever verified celebrity profile.
Unfortunately for England’s Tinder users, Sheeran wasn’t interested:
“I got offered the first verified Tinder account. I did say no.
It’s so people know it’s you I guess, but it just sounds quite creepy doing that because then you’re just using your celebrity status to hook up with chicks.”
Katy Perry
Why haven’t we seen Katy out and about since her last breakup? It might be because she’s doing all of her dating on the down low online. The very single pop singer told Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club that she’s looking to mingle — on Tinder.
Katy says she’s “really deep on Tinder” and loves scrolling through to see what people have to offer!
Lily Allen
Brit singer Lily Allen let everyone know that she was about to troll Tinder with this tweet!
Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan recently revealed an awkward Tinder moment: she was matched with her brother, Michael!
Not only did she swipe left, she outed him on Instagram with the caption, “Look who I just found on @tinderapp… hey bro.”
But the thing is, no one knew that Lindsay was on Tinder before then.
Grabbing an opportunity to embarrass your brother even if it means outing yourself? Classic sibling stuff.
Halle Berry
Is Halle Berry on Tinder? We’d never know. Halle Berry revealed that even though she’s married to Olivier Martinez, she still goes on “a couple of dating ones just to see what everybody is talking about.” But give up on trying to spot her. Halle says, “I am never who I am.”
Now we’re wondering what other A-list stars we may have swiped past because their identity was hidden…
Nana Meriwether
Nana Meriwether, aka, Miss USA 2012, says that there’s no reason to think that celebrities don’t use Tinder too, because according to her, “Even pageant-title-holders get lonely.”
Meriwether’s been on Tinder since 2013 when a male friend introduced her to the app. She’s been having a great time on it:
“I think when you’re single, you should try all avenues. And now there are so may new apps for dating – this one is just really fun.”
Ben Flajnik
What do you do when your Bachelor romance fails? Try Tinder. After his engagement to Courtney Robertson abruptly ended, the former Bachelor decided to give Tinder a try.
He was discovered by a fan who tweeted, “Haha did this just happen? Hit me up on Tinder.” Flajnik replied, “Tinder is hilarious.”
It kind of is!
Chris Pine
Chris Pine told Cosmopolitan that he’s not on Tinder just yet, but he’s interested. And that’s news to easily send several million hearts into a flutter.
The Star Trek star says that he even has “a couple of buddies who use Tinder. Whatever eases the process is great, since it can be awkward or uncomfortable meeting someone.”
Chris Pine awkward and uncomfortable meeting someone? Be still our beating hearts.
