Whitney Houston

Pat Houston may be upset with Angela Bassett and Lifetime over the Whitney Houston biopic. But Angela says that Whitney Houston gave her her blessing to go forward with the film.

Angela told Live with Kelly and Michael,

“So I’m driving off the exit and her song immediately comes on. It comes on every day on the radio but it comes on at the exit.

Traffic slows down and I see this huge bus passes by and on the back of it, I see this huge writing saying ‘WH’ and it’s in her favorite color, which is purple, which I read in her mother’s book. With her music playing, I see her initials, in her favorite color.

I just started crying–I’m glad I was at the exit because I couldn’t see–I was laughing like, ‘Okay girl, I hear you, I feel you, thank you, I know it’s going to be okay and it’s going to work out.’”

Princess Diana

Naomi Watts says that she got a message from the star she portrayed in her biopic too. She told the Mail,

“There were definitely moments when I felt Diana’s presence – I dreamed about her a lot, too, and that’s a first. I kept wondering to myself: ‘Would she have liked it?’

“So I found myself constantly asking for her permission to carry on. I had saturated myself with Diana and her life and I felt this enormous responsibility of playing this iconic woman. It felt like I was spending a lot of time with her. There was one particular moment when I felt her permission was granted. That won’t sound right in print, I know.”

Biggie Smalls

There’s nothing like a biopic to get celebrity ghosts talking. Recently, Lil Kim told Rap Radar that Biggie wasn’t pleased with the movie about his life:

“I’m a very spiritual person and he’s come to me many of times in my dreams. But, I don’t think he’s happy at all, at all!

Biggie was so much more than what they put him out to be in that movie. And to be honest with you, I know for a fact he’s not happy. He’s not satisfied at all. At all. And regardless of the fact, everybody who is involved in this movie, he has love for. Everybody.”
