Spotlight Struggles: Celebrities Who Are Incredibly Shy

Despite growing up right across the street from 20th Century Fox film studios in Los Angeles, Paula didn’t get her first acting gig until she was 28.
She says being shy and self-conscious about her skin kept her out of the spotlight:
“I was shy, and acting did not seem like a solid profession. I had terrible skin all through college, I kept my hair in my face. I wouldn’t take a photo, and I couldn’t look anyone in the eye.”
