What happens when your favorite celebrity isn’t who you thought they were? Lies, super-shady moves and equally unbelievable behaviors have moved these celebrities right off of our “favorites list.”
Cee-Lo
The The Voice host was one of our favorite off-beat musicians — until his date rape accusations became public record. And then the Crazy singer made matters worse by Tweeting that it isn’t really rape if she’s unconscious.
Cee-lo fans aren’t the only ones turning their back. His TBS reality show The Good Life was recently cancelled after it’s first season.
Nick Cannon
His storybook romance with Mariah Carey? Those adorable dress-up photos with their twins?
We thought Nick Cannon was the ideal husband and father. Then we found out that he was possibly cheating on Mariah and spreading word about her unstable health.
Can’t say we saw that coming from America’s Got Talent‘s most likable host.
50 Cent
50 Cent took us to the Candy Shop, asked us 21 Questions and survived an attempt on his life.
But 50 took a major dip in popularity after he disowned his son then started a viral meme making fun of Floyd Mayweather’s learning disability.
Even hard core Fiddy fans are having trouble coming up with an excuse to stick around.
Mimi Faust
Remember back in the early days of Love and Hip Hop when it was Mimi, the good moral mother v. Joseline, the ex-stripper side piece?
Then Mimi sold the sex tape she made with a married man to extend her 15 minutes and fans weren’t so sure hers was a team they wanted to be rooting for.
Kristen Stewart
Twilight fans quickly fell out of love with Kristen Stewart when they found out that she was cheating on co-star Robert Pattison with her Snowman and The Huntsmen director. But not only did K. Stewart cheat right under her boyfriend’s nose, she didn’t even sound sorry about it. She told Newsweek:
“It’s not a terrible thing if you’re either loved or hated. But honestly, I don’t care ’cause it doesn’t keep me from doing my s–t.”
Chris Brown
At this point, it’s hard to remember when Chris Brown was cool. But back before 2009 he was on track to becoming the next Usher. He was cute, cool and had killer dance moves.
But after he hit Rihanna at the 2009 Grammys, Chris has ranted, raved and cheated his way to one of the most unlikable celebrities around.
John Mayer
Remember that Chappelle Show skit where he, John Mayer and Q-tip made fun of the way different ways people jam?
That was before John Mayer’s fateful Playboy interview where he outed himself as a sexual racist. And a few sexual indiscretions since have made him one of the most unlikeable players in Hollywood.
Keyshia Cole
Back in 2005, Keyshia Cole’s The Way It Is made her one of our favorite R&B singers. But her shady social media behavior — from dragging fans to dogging Michelle Williams (“Your girl is wack and always will be.”) — has opened a lot of former fans’ eyes to her incurably nasty attitude.
Jonah Hill
Everyone has one formerly-fat friend who lost a lot of weight then turned into a total jerkand Jonah Hill is one of them.
Even after he gained the weight back, Jonah’s smug and humorless interviews — “I could have made a billion dollars doing every big comedy of the last 10 years and didn’t in order to form a whole other life for myself” — have made him one of Hollywood’s least favorite formerly funny people.
Julia Roberts
Apparently keeping Julia Roberts as America’s Sweetheart took a lot of covering up. But now reports of her ugly, diva-ish behavior have been leaking to the surface.
Even Meryl Streep allegedly boycotted the Toronto International Film Festival to avoid her. The icing on the cake, however, was her half-sister’s suicide note that spent nearly five pages listing the details of Julia’s alleged nastiness.
Madonna
Once upon a time, Madonna’s edgy behavior was what made her one of America’s favorite pop stars. But ever since she got Instagram, fans have been getting too close a look at the real Madge. Photos of her hairy armpits and a now infamous n-bomb under her 13-year-old son’s posts are driving a lot of people out of love.
Katherine Heigl
Starring in Knocked Up was one of the breaks that helped make Katherine Heigl a rom com favorite. But when she slammed the film shortly after starring in it, rumors of Katherine’s salty personality began to leak into the tabloids. Even her co-star Seth Rogen said, “It’s not like we’re the only people she said some bats–t crazy things about. That’s kind of her bag now.”
Justin Bieber
Even after his bratty behavior began, Beliebers were willing to write them off as growing pains. But after tapes of his n-bombs went viral, people saw his crappy behavior in a different light.
Since then he’s locked one of his producers in a closet, broken countless laws and seemed to go out of his way to make his haters hate him even more.
Nene Leakes
A lot of Real Housewives of Atlanta fans have fallen out of love with Nene Leakes. Once upon a time that show was what put her on the map, but now she seems to spend her time dogging out her cast mates, acting too above it to be bothered and reminding people that she’s “very rich.”
Tamar Braxton
Fans loved Tamar’s sassy “get your life attitude,” but the fun and games stopped when she turned her beef with K. Michelle into a real-life vendetta and tried to get her fired from her management company. We know that women fight but aren’t they also supposed to stick together?
