When Apollo Nida was sentenced to prison, U.S. Secret Service Special Agent Reginald Moore told CNN.com, “Today’s sentencing exemplifies impartial justice regardless of economic class or perceived celebrity status.” And that makes us wonder if Apollo’s reality TV celebrity status helped to highlight his illegal activities. Now the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is preparing to spend eight years behind bars.
