I really do wish the Braxton sisters would put out that album together. These five women can really sing and their harmonies together are impeccable. It seems to make the perfect sense. But everyone’s doing their own thing and life can get in the way. Several of the sisters have shut that notion down several times. So it’s pretty safe to assume that’s not going to happen. And since they haven’t gotten together in the studio officially, we’ll just have to settle for those times when they bust out in impromptu, often hilarious, songs. Check out some of our favorites in the video below.

Daddy Song

Let’s be real, the Braxton marriages have had their challenges, including the union between Towanda and Andre. And since sisters have no secrets, Towanda’s family drama is everyone’s family drama…and source of entertainment. In one episode, Tamar gets the idea that Towanda and her husband are on better terms and therefore having sex. This revelation inspired she and her sisters to sing what would come to be known as The Daddy Song, which featured lyrics like “If you call him Daddy, I know he’s getting in the panty.”

Dingaling of Gold

Moving right along to the next sister with relationship issues, you already know Trina and Gabe have been going back and forth on whether or not they’re going to work on their marriage or part ways after infidelity on her part and a lack of trust issues. In one of the moments when they were on again, Tamar questioned the reunion, surmising that Gabe must have a dingaling of gold. Tamar proceeds to, with the help of Toni, compose a ballad about this golden member. It was all in jest but her vocals on this song were pretty darn good.

Touch The Fertile Tree

Before Tamar gave birth to little Logan, she had four children frozen and housed away just in case she ever decided she wanted to be a mother. But her sisters didn’t think this was enough. So when the sisters traveled to a national park and learned about this so-called fertile tree, they encouraged Tamar to touch it. Tamar wasn’t having it, so the sisters created a song, complete with a beat and corny dance moves. Be sure to keep your eye on Trina in this one. She had me weak. This poor tour guide didn’t know what to do with these four.

Jesus Is a Landscaper Too

When Vince and Tamar went on vacation with Lashawn and his wife, April, they were driving admiring the lush grass on the side of the mountain. Lashawn noticed that these mountains weren’t manicured or anything and that’s when Tamar chimed in saying that Jesus was the one who kept the mountainsides manicured. If you’ve never seen Tamar and Lashawn in action together, it’s guaranteed to yield comedy.

Toilet Paper

This, according to the Braxton sisters, is the song that started it all. Apparently, when Tamar was a little girl, she went to the restroom and sat down on the toilet before she noticed that there was no toilet paper in the restroom. She called for someone to bring her some toilet paper but they didn’t come to her rescue until she started singing it. Her sisters joined in harmonizing with her and that’s when their mother, Miss. E., noticed the gift they all possessed.

Bumpin and Grindin

Similar to the way Tamar teased Trina and Towanda, when she learned that Toni and now ex husband Keri Lewis, were dating again,  she composed a song to commemorate the occasion.

The Pregnancy Song

Those labor contractions are no joke…unless you’re jokingly singing a song about the whole experience. And that’s what Tamar did in between labor pains, with the help of her sisters.  Unlike the woman in the park, this nurse seemed to join right along with the action, pounding out the beat on the hospital bed and laughing at their foolishness.

Jackson’s Song

Remember when Miss E’s dog Jackson died? She had a whole ceremony commemorating his life. During the ceremony, Tamar was inspired and decided to dedicate a song in memory of the little pup. I thought Tamar was joking but Miss. E was moved by the sentiment.

Vince Sings To Tamar

Vince and Tamar aren’t always so lovey dovey out in public. But one day, Tamar caught Vince when he was sleepy and she asked him to sing her a song like he did when they first started dating. He obliged and the result is equal parts cute and hilarious, thanks to Tamar’s body rolls.

Tamar’s Always Late

When Miss. E calls all of her daughters together, the girls all gather around with the exception of one: Tamar. She’s late. When she finally strolls in, the sisters don’t scold or berate her, instead they greet her with an accusatory song, which Tamar called her Super Hero theme song.

Monday and My Friday

If you watch “The Braxton Family Values” spin off, “Tamar and Vince, you may haven’t noticed that not only is that Tamar’s voice singing the intro, it’s also Vince’s. This, obviously, isn’t an impromptu song but check out this pretty cute video of the two of them creating this song.
