We’re used to celebrities changing up their looks from time to time with new hairstyles, new clothing and even a little nip tuck. But every so often celebs do something so drastic to their appearances they’re hardly recognizable anymore. Be it surgery, weight loss, weight gain or something else here are 15 celebs who are unrecognizable these days.

Kid Cudi

Last month Kid Cudi stepped out looking nothing like the grunge rapper we remember and everything like a black Ken doll fresh off the factory line. We’re still not even sure this is the same man.

Cassie

Have we gotten so used to Cassie’s one-sided shaved head that seeing her without it makes us think she’s a different person?

Rose McGowan

Since changing her look dramatically around 2010 Rose McGowan has only copped to having eyelid surgery, though surgeons have speculated that she’s also had nose job(s), chin work and fillers.

Tina Knowles

In October 2013 Tina Knowles stepped out with a new face and new man to match (actor Richard Lawon). We’re not mad – though we did have trouble recognizing her at first.

Renee Zellwegger

Early last month Renee Zellwegger hit the red carpet looking like a totally different person. Although some people have described her new look as “radiant” we can’t help but think Renee just went a little cray with the plastic surgery.

In 2009 Sammy Sosa arrived at the Latin Grammy awards with lighter skin and green contacts. Although he’s reportedly gotten his black skin back his lighter appearance has sparked a ton of controversy – and this very public clowning by Charles Barkley.

Since stepping out to a charity event in 2012 the media has been all over pro wrestler Chyna’s distorted looking face. Celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn, who has not treated Chyna, offered his professional opinion on her drastic new look:

“Chyna’s face looks like a bloated version of itself. It appears that a cosmetic surgeon plumped it up beyond recognition, likely with injections of fat or other facial filler.”
