No Love Lost Here: What To Do When Your Man’s Mother Doesn’t Like You!

After watching Monday night’s episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, I couldn’t help but feel lucky for having a great relationship with my boyfriend’s mother. In case you missed it, or simply don’t watch the show, Scrappy suggested that he and his fiancée Erica have both of their mothers over for dinner so they could clear the air. Erica’s mother is a little skeptical of Scrappy’s intentions to marry her daughter and Momma Dee just doesn’t like Erica. Well, words were exchanged and Erica felt she had taken enough abuse from her future mother-in-law and couldn’t take it anymore. Tempers flared, the “B word” was thrown around, some folks needed to be held back and an engagement may have been called off. I say all of that to say it can be a real drag when you don’t get along with your boyfriend or husband’s mother.
