Nick Cannon has been linked to many women before and after being locked down as a husband to Mariah Carey for six years. In 2019, Cannon was a guest on T.I.’s Expeditiously podcast and the Wild ‘N Out  star shared that neither marriage or a monogamous relationship is something he ever sees in his future again. But he also explained that he doesn’t fully classify as polyamorous.

“I respect a polyamorous situation, but me personally- that’s too much of a construct with too many rules in it. I don’t want to answer to nobody! I don’t want five or six – I want to be by my goddamn self!”

He later added, “I think I’ll never be able to be with just one woman again. Like, that’s gon’ be tough for me. I did it in marriage! I was very faithful in my marriage…the whole time I was married. And the reason why we split up–it had nothing to do with infidelity or nothing like that. But I knew I would never get married again. Once I stepped away from that, I knew that construct is not designed for me. So I gave it my all, and even before that I was like, ‘I don’t believe in marriage.’ But, shit–it was Mariah Carey! Whatever she say, I’m with it!”
