Sometimes these stars forget that the reason they are on TV is supposed to be to put music out, but K. Michelle has finally gotten around to doing just that with the release of a new single, “V.S.O.P.”

Sampling Debra Laws’ “Very Special,” K. is coming strong with the Keyshia Cole-esque hardcore R&B on this track, with lines like, “We gone do whatever you like, very special/got some Henny chilling on ice, very special.”

Overall, the song is a fun summer love track that can get you in the right mood for your boo thang. Listen below and tell us what you think. Pass or Play?

Look who the cat drug in. It’s “My Neck, My Back” rapper Khia. Chances are, you like the rest of us, haven’t seen or heard from Khia for some time now. So it’s interesting that she would pop back up with this low budget photo shoot. Here we see Khia draped in what looks like a velour towel holding a football…even though the season is over.

I’ve never been a fan of Khia’s antics or her music (I’m probably one of the few black women who doesn’t like “My Neck My Back) and this photo shoot, most likely promoting her latest album, doesn’t really change any of that. By the way the new album will include songs like “Lick Me Dry,” “Dickmatize,” and the guaranteed smash hit, “Pay Yo Pu$$y Bill.”

Homegirl is out here with all of her tattoos on display…looking…well you see it. And in case you were wondering, yes that is Pac Man headed to Khia’s cooch. Classy.

We can’t help but wonder if this little photo shoot was her attempt to tap into another artist’s shine. We’ll let you decide for yourself.

If you’re wondering which celebrity is having the absolute best week ever, it’s Ms. Tamar Braxton. She finally got a chance to explain, to our brother site Bossip, why it appears that her skin is getting lighter. (Cuz you know you wanted to know.) Then she performed her newest single on her hit, reality tv show “Tamar and Vince.” After that said single was promoted by pop music’s biggest star, Lady Gaga, which helped Tamar clutch that number one spot on iTunes.

As much as we can’t stand Tamar’s theatrics and attitude, we’ve got to hand it to Miss Thang. She did that! “Love & War” is poppin’!

Say what you will about Rihanna, but the girl is something of a machine. We see so many pictures of her kicking back, most times blunt in hand, that one would think the girl never works but then low and behold she drops new music out of the blue and you realize she’s just a work hard, play harder kind of girl.

Looking at the cover art for Rihanna’s new track, “Diamonds,” which appropriately for her is a picture of the singer preparing to roll up a paper filled with a handful of the little gems, you might think the song will be a hardcore club banger, but it’s actually quite the opposite. According to Flow 93.5, Rihanna’s take on the track is,“You’re not sad. You’re happy and hippie.”

“It’s hopeful. It gives me a great feeling when I listen to it,” she added. “The lyrics are hopeful and positive. It’s about love and the gears are different than what people will expect. I want to make it interesting, fresh, ahead of what’s on the radio. That’s the challenge for me.”

Last time Alicia Keys put out a real single with a real video (with the exception of the song she released online called “Speechless” using Kanye’s “Devil in a New Dress” beat), she wasn’t a mommy, she wasn’t married, and she was still one of the top artists in the R&B game (and one of the few truly talented ones…). That was May of 2010. It’s now July of 2012, and after a hiatus that included getting married to producer Swizz Beatz, giving birth to son Egypt Daoud Ibarr Dean, and taking many a pretty and adorable Instagram photo for her Twitter, she’s trying to come back with a new single and new sound. The game has changed, but we think she can come back in it with no problem. “New Day” definitely isn’t like what we’ve heard from Alicia before, in fact it sounds like something your boy Swizzy put together in the studio and is very uptempo, but it’s also a very happy and triumphant song. It’s not bad, but it’s not really what I’m used to from her. To be honest, I’m still addicted to 2007′s As I Am so everything else pales in comparison, but hey, you might love it. Kelly Rowland always had a special place in our hearts. She was always the unassuming, sweet one in Destiny’s Child who seemed to be totally caught off guard by all the  group  changes. When they finally broke up in 2006 and everyone went their seperate ways, it was clear that Ms. Knowles would be just fine– Mat and Tina don’t play.
