Kandi is taking her sex toy business seriously. When the former Xscape member, better known as a “Real Housewife of Atlanta” said she was launching a line of adult products, people didn’t pay her much mind. But since that time, Kandi has made major moves to turn her side hustle into a mini-empire with the debut of her Kandi Koated Nights web show and the announcement that she’s going back to school to study sex. And now, she’s got plans to bring her bedroom Kandi directly into your bedroom, or at least to your doorstep.

The entrepreneur told TMZ she is launching a home division with ladies who will be door-to-door saleswomen of sorts with their own mini-sex toy businesses—basically Mary Kay for NC-17 crowd.

“With Bedroom Kandi, no need to go out, we will bring the party to you and your girls. Our BK consultants are from across the country and with them we hope to create an entertaining and exciting way for them to become entrepreneurs.”

This isn’t a far off idea either, the first group of trained Kandiettes (I don’t know, I made that up) will hit the ground running this Friday so it won’t be long before you and your girls can host your own Kandi Koated Nights kink party of your own, if you’re into that sort of thing. Ms. Burruss is definitely about her business. Go ‘head girl!

You know you have money to blow when you decide to go back to school just to get a degree in sex.

According to her Twitter page, that’s exactly what Real Housewife of Atlanta castmember Kandi Burruss is studying right now. The singer posted on Twitter:

Of course, this news isn’t weird at all considering that Kandi has a demonstrated interest in sex. She has a show about it “Kandi Koated Nights” and a sex toy line “Bedroom Kandi”.  The next step was clearly to become a sexologist.

What’s a sexologist? Well, according to WiseGeek.com:

A sexologist is someone concerned with the scholarly investigation of human sexuality, from normal sexual development to sexual pathologies such as sexual abuse. The field of sexology is highly interdisciplinary, incorporating knowledge from a number of academic pursuits, and sexologists can work in a range of settings. Some sexologists are primarily interested in conducting studies and clinical trials to understand more about human sexuality, for example, while others offer therapy to people with sexual dysfunction, drawing upon their sexology experience to help people.

For some sexologists, a large part of their work involves educating people about human sexuality and encouraging honest discussions about issues such as communication in relationships, healthy sexual development, and methods for preventing the spread of disease.

Sounds like Kandi’s interest in the topic is more than just a passing fad and she will soon have the letters behind her name to prove it. She didn’t elaborate on whether or not she’s pursuing a certificate, undergraduate degree or Master degree. It seems like she would need an advanced degree for the field, but that may not be the case. We have to hand it to her for valuing education enough to want to educate others and not just getting by on fame. Fans are impressionable, so it will be interesting to see if more people decide to go into this field after hearing her news. Maybe Phaedra Parks will take a class or two with her.

Much of the first few seasons of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” focused on Kim Zolciak’s burgeoning singing career – initially in country music, and she was also getting big money from her former sugar daddy, Big Poppa. Along the way, the former LPN also picked up a wig line, which she hasn’t quite “pulled off” yet (unlike Sheree.) Zolciak has also endorsed a line of fruit flavored wines. In 2011, her net worth was $500,000.

Linnethia “NeNe” Leakes: Actress/Businesswoman

The fourth season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” opened with NeNe Leakes screaming that she is “rich, b***h!” and bragging about her appearance on “Celebrity Apprentice” (which was later parodied on a YouTube remix.) But over the last year, Leakes has really blown up outside the reality TV show realm. She has landed a recurring role on “Glee” as well as a spot on the new sitcom, “The New Normal.” Leakes was also shown mixing business with pleasure in season four during meetings with “business partner” and pizza tycoon, John Kolaj, who showered her with lavish gifts. (“You get lunch; I’ll get the Louboutins!”) And don’t forget, Leakes is also an accomplished author. Check her book, Never Make the Same Mistake Twice: Lessons on Love and Life Learned the Hard Way. She was toting a net worth of $4.5 million in 2011.

Kandi Burruss: Singer/Songwriter/Sex Toy Designer

When Kandi Burruss joined the show in season two, she stood apart from the rest of the cast because her background was one of legit show business success. A former member of the ’90s R&B girl group, Xscape, Burruss also has a Grammy award under her belt for co-writing “No Scrubs” with TLC and has been a major songwriter and producer for years. Since becoming an Atlanta Housewife, Burruss has launched a line of adult toys called “Bedroom Kandi” that features a vibrator that moves to the beat of whatever music is playing. (This thing her mom uses is not one of them.) Aside from that, she has her own adult Ustream program called Kandi Koated Nights, and has her own competition show on Bravo called, “The Kandi Factory.” Burruss seems to be the wealthiest cast member, with a net worth of $35 million in 2011.
