Somewhere Kim K. Is Smiling: Evelyn Files For Divorce
I didn’t think it was possible that another couple could manage to end their marriage quicker than Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, but low and behold another reality TV pair now holds the crown.
Earlier today, RadarOnline was reporting that Evelyn would be filing divorce documents within 48 hours to legally end her marriage with Chad Ochocinco Johnson, and according to TMZ she has in fact filed them papers, as Usher would say.
Chad Johnson’s wife of 6 weeks has filed for divorce … TMZ has learned.
Evelyn Lozada filed legal docs moments ago in Florida, claiming her marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
The trigger for the divorce was the domestic violence incident over the weekend, in which Chad Johnson was arrested after allegedly head-butting her during an argument.
By my count, Chad and Evelyn were married a whopping 41 days, making Kim K.’s 72-marriage almost look respectable. (Kidding.) TMZ says the couple did have a prenup but that it won’t really matter since their marriage was so quick.
I won’t even try to explain this situation because that would mean in someway I could understand the madness. I’m done. Sound off!

“Domestic Violence Is Not Okay:” Evelyn Releases A Statement On Alleged Assault
So much for the honeymoon period.
In the past three days, NFL player Chad Johnson was arrested for allegedly headbutting his new wife, reality show star, Evelyn Lozada, dropped from the Miami Dolphins, Vh1 canceled their upcoming reality show and Evelyn’s brother-in-law Anthony Ochoa passed away last night. The couple has been uncharacteristically mute since Saturday night’s incident even as the media erupted with the news of their altercation and subsequent events.
Today, Evelyn is the first to talk about the incident releasing this statement to TMZ:
“I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me.
The “false accusations” she is referring to is the fact that Chad told police that Evelyn headbutted him.
It is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well.”
Her statement makes it sound as though Saturday’s altercation is not the first act of violence in their relationship.
Chad hasn’t released a statement yet (likely at the advice of his legal team). Yesterday, he did change his Twitter picture from a picture of him in a Miami Dolphins football uniform though, to a picture of him in street clothes sitting in a car. Chances are he’ll be releasing a statement of his own soon.
What do you think of Evelyn’s statement?

Terrence Howard Says His Wife is Ruining His Career
Oh, Terrence. There are some people who are always looking for someone else to blame for their problems; Terrence Howard appears to be one of them. Since his wife filed a restraining order against him in December, claiming that he constantly beats her up and threatens her, Terrence says his career has gone completely downhill—and she’s the one to blame.
In addition to denying the allegations of domestic violence, he said in court documents:
“I am gravely concerned that her [Michelle Ghent] actions have had an incredibly negative effect on my career and my ability to obtain future work as an actor.”
Terrence’s agent also jumped in on the action and submitted a declaration claiming that since these allegations surfaced, Terrence has not received any “suitable offers.”
While there was some backlash over the movie “Red Tails,” most of that had to do with the fact that the actors all have non-black wives, or more importantly, that there were no black women in the film at all. I don’t recall anyone mentioning his problems at home while he promoted the film. And either way you look at it, Terrence’s wife has nothing to do with it. If he put his hands on her, he’s to blame for his own faltering career. If he didn’t put his hands on her, it’s not as though movie roles were coming in in droves before this whole mess anyway.
Terrence’s agent says that the actor only earned $60,000 for his last role which wrapped in September, but considering he was only paid $12,000 for “Crash,” he might actually be on the come up.
Are you a fan of Terrence Howard? Did the domestic violence allegations affect your opinion of him at all?
