As Savannah James Tries To Lose Weight, LeBron Reminds Her “U Look Damn Good” At Any Size

While LeBron James has always been a fixture in the public eye, his wife, Savannah James, has managed to stay out of it, instead, keeping very busy by focusing on raising their three children. As she told Essence last year, she takes great pride in being the NBA star’s right hand, the one who keeps the wheels turning and everything functioning well while he’s training and on the road during the season.

“I’m his support system with whatever he needs,” she said. “If he needs someone to listen to him. If he needs to talk or if he says, ‘Hey babe, I’m tired. Can I take a nap?’ I will say ‘Yeah, baby. Take a nap,’ and keep the kids occupied. It’s a part of the role that I play as the mother of his kids and being his wife. The balance that I create in our house is for his success. He is very busy and I understand that, and the kids are at the age now that they get it. Being there for him is a huge part of his success.”

But the busy mom is now taking the steps and the time out to do something for herself. The 30-year-old posted a picture on Instagram this week of a plate of lean meat (protein) and apples covered in cinnamon, announcing that she’s prepping herself for a fitness journey two years after having little Zhuri James. “Sh-t just got real” she wrote, along with the hashtag “OperationGetItTogether.” However, LeBron commented on the post, letting Savannah know that she doesn’t need to take on “OperationGetItTogether” because she looks just fine to him. Still, he publicly offered his love and full support, and it was quite refreshing to see:

While it’s nice to receive encouragement from your partner with whatever choices you want to make for your health, it’s still always nice to hear them say you look like the baddie you are with or without such changes. You can’t help but love the bond these former high school sweethearts still have.
