Jennifer Lopez got her start as one of the dancers on the comedy sketch show “In Living Color.” Ready to steal the spotlight for herself, the Bronx native started working on music of her own which had a more urban appeal back then. Channeling her Bronx roots while dating hip-hop producer Sean “Diddy” Combs, J.Lo embodied the urban look a bit too much at times. Sporting skintight leather pants and a white sequenced Sean John tank top, Lopez showed up to the MTV VMAs on the arm of her new boo wearing a bedazzled bandana tied around her forehead. This wouldn’t be the last time. J.Lo rocked the West coast gangsta look until she retired it once and for all after her relationship with Diddy fizzled out.
