OG And CECE's Basketball Wives Viewing Party

Somebody has some explaining to do.

The ladies of Basketball Wives filmed their reunion on Monday, September 9 in L.A. with Marc Lamont Hill back as the host. A few faces were missing, including Tami Roman, Cece Gutierrez (more on that in a bit) and Jennifer Williams’ friend, Dominique Lenard, who said she wasn’t invited. One person who was there but was treated like she was not was star Ogom “OG” Chijindu.

According to people who were present at the reunion, as well as OG herself (via messages she posted in her IG stories), she was present at the show but was made to sit in another room by producers, away from the rest of the cast, forcing her to communicate with the group via satellite. The reason was reportedly “safety concerns” from some of the other ladies, but that’s confusing considering she hasn’t actually been violent with anyone (at least not yet in this season). She was rightfully annoyed by the move.

“We’re over here, my glam squad. We are getting ready for reunion, and it looks like they’re trying to play your girl again,” she said while getting her makeup done. “The beautiful thing is, God is great and no one and I mean no one will have the final say but God. So they can keep trying to sprinkle me in if you want to. It’s not going to work.”

She also shared a DM from someone who was in the audience at the reunion who shared their dismay over her treatment. According to that individual, OG called out the double standards she’s been forced to deal with, and even brought up the conversation that’s been brewing online about behavior towards her being due to the fact that she’s a darker-skinned woman who doesn’t have the look of the rest of the cast. It seems the rest of the cast and the audience may not have necessarily agreed with that latter part, though.

“I really shouldn’t be this invested, but I’m so disappointed. The person wrote. “Disappointed in the cast, disappointed in the audience of other BLACK people, me being the only person who raised their hand to agree with you on the colorism/double standard topic. Everyone was so dismissive, the host was BIAS and the fact that they put you in a separate room was just so gross. I know we don’t know each other like that, but I genuinely hope you’re okay after all that shi-t. Just really in disbelief.”

OG responded by saying, “Thank you so much.”

She also had support in her co-star and friend Cece, who according to reports, showed up for the reunion, but decided to leave when she found out OG was going to be sequestered.

As for Tami, she had previously said she was going to attend the reunion but bailed, saying she was ready to move forward. She too was bothered by what occurred with OG, though.

“I wish everyone well and move on in peace,” she wrote in a deleted Instagram post. “#ThatGotOutFast #AudienceBeOnIt #NowWhatHappenedWithOG #Yikes.”

This reunion sounds like it’s not going to go over well with people due to what sounds like obvious bullying. We’ll have to wait and see though, as there are still a few episodes left of Basketball Wives before the veil is uncovered on this hot mess of a conclusion to the season.
