(Atlanta Voice) — Upon entering Atlanta’s City Hall on a Monday morning, things just felt different. From the security check-in at the Trinity Avenue entrance, to the reception area of the newly elected Mayor Kasim Reed’s office, a heightened morale in the building was evident.

It’s 8:50 a.m. and about ten men and women in business attire just emptied a boardroom. Various conversations summarizing the meeting filled the air as they headed to their next order of business. The gathering’s conclusion was timely because another group of decision makers had scheduled the conference room for 9 a.m.
