(Washington Post) — State and local leaders here have embarked on an unprecedented regional effort to develop the most competitive workforce in the country. We are attempting to build capacity and prepare for a new wave of prosperity. The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) recently released a report called “Closing the Gaps to Build the Future” that establishes an aggressive road map to align the region’s workforce policies and resources.
