(Times Online ) — President Obama’s pugnacious Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, hinted that he could become the first high-profile official to leave the Administration if an opportunity arises to run for Mayor of Chicago, his hometown.
In an unusually candid admission — and a pitch for one of the most powerful municipal jobs in America — Mr Emanuel said that he hoped that the incumbent Mayor, Richard Daley, would run again in November but that if he did not, “one day I would like to run”.
