(Loop21) It’s been a year and Democrats have clearly learned a few lessons from the Republicans. Their primary lesson: If it’s good for the goose, then take a gander at me goosing all over your obstructionist butts. We first saw a glimpse of that when Congressional Dems opted for an up or down vote to avoid the filibuster, also called reconciliation. Now, we are seeing it again, as Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi considers using the “slaughter rule,” effectively allowing Democrats to vote on the fixes in health care reform as opposed to the bill itself.
