Natural Belle

There is something special about connecting with a fellow mom. You share advice, swap mommy horror stories, share baby pictures and form a special bond that only other moms would understand. With that said, there is no shortage of cool blogger moms online documenting their lives and their families, and sharing these special bonds with thousands of other women in motherhood. And although the listing is slim, there’s a great selection of black moms (myself included) who keep it real and inspire us daily with family stories through the lens of color. Our stories are unique and deserved to be celebrated. Though USA-based bloggers are way easier to find, I scoured the ‘net and uncovered four mom bloggers across the pond with great style and amazing blogs. From Paris to London, these bloggers inspire us daily and give us a nice dose of global reality. Read below to see why we follow these international mom bloggers.

Natural Belle

British blogger and new mom Gina started out with a blog and an incredibly popular Tumblr page intended strictly to inspire and promote women with natural hair. She was a pioneer in what we now call natural “hairspiration” and founded her site on promoting beautiful images of black women across the globe. Now as a new mom of an adorable toddler named Freya, Gina chronicles her day to day life as a fabulous naturalista with a mini-me in tow.

In addition to her own product reviews and how-to stories, Gina has created a Tumblr blog for baby Freya and has added a Baby tab to the site, officially making her a mommy blogger. She chronicles Freya’s chic outfits, talks about Freya’s hair regimen and gives her take on life as a mommy in London town.

Revele Toi

Parisian-based beauty blogger and new mom Rosianna is a breath of fresh air. Just when you thought there wasn’t one more thing you could love about Paris, her pictures with the most delightful metropolitan backgrounds will make you fall in love with the city from afar. Rosianna’s site is primarily about beauty and style but with her latest addition she has now begun to post reviews about baby products, life as a new mommy and more. If her beautiful smile doesn’t draw you in, her light and fluffy ‘fro certainly will.

Berice Baby

Though the previous two were bloggers turned mommies, Charlotte of Berice Baby is actually a mommy turned blogger whose site is primarily about her family life and her adorable son, Hayden Pascal Berice. Charlotte gives practical advice from the perspective of a wife and mother in London town. She often features her husband Rovi who she met in high school (how adorable) and how they get along as parents to a bubbly baby boy.

Berice Baby is a super practical guide and she presents her life as an open book for other moms to learn from and engage with. Definitely one of the best London-based mommy blogs on the ‘net.

I recently stumbled on BestofD blog after stumbling onto some of her photos on Instagram. Now I only speak basic conversational French, so at first glance I was ready to scurry straight to that ‘Translate’ button. But the true mark of a great blog is it’s ability to pull you in first with great images, which is what this blog did. Danielle who is a French blogger-turned-mommy, is also the creator of webzine Afrosomething in addition to blogging about style and beauty on BestofD. Her accounts of her first year as a mother are thought-provoking and sincere.
