Unless you have been living under a rock, you know, Jay-Z has been teasing fans with tid-bit lyrics from his upcoming album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. The Rolling Stone has reported:

“For the rollout of his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail, Jay-Z has been dropping lyrics for album cuts via its Samsung app. The latest is “Part II (On the Run),” which features Beyoncé.”

The track appears to be a sequel to “03 Bonnie and Clyde,” which we all remember was a tale of a bad boy with his good girl. Ten- plus years later we see the good girl has turned her bad boy good and even a little soft without losing his charm. Hov mentions in “Part II (On The Run)”

“I’m an outlaw/ Gotta outlaw chick/ Bumping Tupac/ On my outlaw sh–/ Matching tatts this ink don’t come off/ Even if rings come off/ If things ring off/ My nails get dirty.”

The lyric represents the matching tattoos the couple has on their ring fingers.

“Part II (On The Run)” also allows Hov to delve into how the people may perceive the couple’s public image.

“If you go to heaven and they bring me to hell/ Just sneak out and meet me/ Bring me a box of L’s,” Jay-Z raps. “She fell in love with the bad guy/ The bad guy/ What you doing with them rap guys/ Them rap guys/ They ain’t see potential in me girl/ But you see it if it’s you and me against the world/ Then so be it.”

In their earlier years of dating, the media often painted The Carters as a odd couple; R&B Diva Beyonce falling for infamous Brooklyn boy rapper, Hov.

Thankfully, today, the Carters can still be found making superb music together  while  raising their cutie pie daughter, Blue Ivy.

Magna Carta Holy Grail drops July 4! Check out “Part II (On The Run)” lyrics below.
