It seems like the minute we start thinking the country may be getting less racist, foolishness like this happens.
South Carolina resident, Anthony Hill, 30, was found dead yesterday morning on the side of a highway. Authorities are still investigating, but know that he was shot dead and may have been dragged by a nylon rope 10 miles off the truck of a white man. The trail, lead by blood, landed at the home of Gregory Collins, the 19-year-old white man Hill worked with at a local plant.
According to AOL Black Voices:
“We don’t want to attribute something to Collins that isn’t necessarily true,” State Law Enforcement Division Director Reggie Lloyd said. “But out of precaution, given the circumstances, we are investigating the racial angle.”
According to authorities, the two men were at Collins’ house early Wednesday morning when Hill was shot in the head.
Collins then took a nylon rope and attached it to Hill’s body and the back of his truck. He dragged the body for several miles until the rope snapped.
It’s amazing how much hatred people have. Whoever is responsible for this disgusting act is sure to feel the repercussions of their sickness.
