One of the most lovable WNBA players around is making a career change…well, at least for one night.
Indiana Fever point guard Sydney Colson will make her stand-up comedy debut as the opening act for the inaugural Fever Fest, taking place Saturday, July 19, at All-Star Weekend. Known as one of the most charismatic and vibrant personalities in the league, Sydney will perform original stand-up material live on stage for the first time.
Sydney has always been a winner. She played basketball at Texas A&M University, where she helped the Aggies win the 2011 NCAA title. After a roller coaster journey in which she played for the New York Liberty, the San Antonio Stars, the Minnesota Lynx, and Chicago Sky (plus overseas in Poland and Israel), she ended up with the Las Vegas Aces, and was a key contributor to the team winning back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023. In the same fashion, Syd looks to continue being successful in another new lane at Fever Fest.
