(Chicago Sun Times) — Mayoral candidate James Meeks emphasized his commitment to Chicago’s neighborhoods Sunday with the rollout of 50 Wards in 50 Days. Meeks said he will visit every city ward to highlight the importance of small business growth and neighborhood safety.  “I want to make sure people in every ward know that City Hall will work for them,” Meeks said during a stop at MacArthur’s Restaurant on West Madison Street in the 28th Ward. Meeks said if elected he will implement a weekly mobile City Hall in which department heads will travel to neighborhoods in all areas of the city. “Chicago is a city that works but not necessarily for everyone,” Meeks said. “Department heads will get out of the office and into the communities to answer questions and conduct business.”
