(WSJ) — A state audit has found $1 million worth of errors in New York unemployment insurance benefits, including checks paid out to 14 dead people.

The Comptroller’s office audit says $1 million in checks either didn’t comply with federal or state rules or were just processed in error.

The audit covered checks paid out between April and December of last year.
