(Washington Post) — Hiring by the federal government has accounted for nearly half of the Washington region’s job growth over the past year, according to a quarterly report on the area’s economy from Delta Associates.
The stepped up hiring by Uncle Sam has also propelled job growth here to levels well above what has been seen historically.
