(WSJ) — The New York Police Department can now view live footage from 507 security cameras in three of the city’s busiest subway stations, adding to its already extensive surveillance network.

The cameras at Penn Station, Grand Central Station and Times Square were integrated Monday into the department’s network of some 1,100 public and private cameras, along with devices that detect radiation and others that identify license plates.
