(Bloomberg) –President Barack Obama renewed his pitch for small-business loans and tax cuts and urged lawmakers to make middle-class tax cuts permanent before debating whether to keep them for the wealthiest Americans. Obama, at a White House news conference, said he recognized that the public is “frustrated” by the pace of the recovery. He said Congress should act when it returns next week on pending legislation to boost the economy and take up his latest proposals to spur hiring.
